Incredibly unprofessional, but nothing new in a league that refuses to hold problem officials accountable. I sure as hell wouldn't trust him to call Habs games honestly, but we all know the league won't do anything about it short of giving Gallagher a fine for having functioning ears.

They weren't booed off the ice. He's the assistant captain it's his job to talk to the refs. He and Petry are the only guys who can do it as Weber is out.

Referees are supposed to take the shit and remain unbiased and cool headed. Players can get penalized for abusing refs (physically or verbally). Wonder if the NHL will turn a blind eye to this (the answer is yes).
If I were to curse back at a client disrespecting me I'd get fired, my job is to remain cool and reduce tension. Welcome to the big boys world.
For those that need translation, "go f*** yourself" is another way of saying "I am done with this conversation we are having. Please leave my presence immediately. Have a nice day." Just two guys settling an argument.
How long was Gallagher standing their chirping? Morton actually looks pretty accepting up until the point where he "loses" it with language hurting some ears I guess. Gallagher I'm sure not agitating - I mean he never does that, right?

This is because you're biased. Any unbiased fan would agree with that SN video.
When Montreal or Toronto complain, the entire NHL world listens. I'm sure the NHL is making this one of their top priorities this week and working on addressing this asap.

The refs don't work for the god damn players. Never have been never will be. So they are not their freaking clients.
And no the refs are not supposed to just take the players shit .
would your company allow a client to yell at you like Gallagher did to Morton? poor example
gallagher pushed it to far, Morton told him as much.

As a neutral observer, that was one of the most one-sided, worst jobs of officiating that I remember seeing. The refs are human and are going to have a bad game from time to time, but this was off the charts! Dean Morton was obviously sticking it to Montreal for whatever reason. Just unacceptable!

Exactly, they work for the NHL and act as their officials during the games which gives them all the more reason to not lash out.

I work in sales so I just get yelled at (not directly cursed) but my job is to smooth things out and make sure everyone is calm at the end of the day.
The refs are there as officials for the NHL, they're not there to curse at players and show bias.
Maybe if morton did his job to begin with it wouldn't have gotten that far. Imagine if this was a meaningful game. He would be getting death threats. Referees are human but man that game last night was brutal. Morton had an agenda.

I don't blame either side here . Gallagher was frustrated and was venting it out and the ref clearly had heard enough and told him to get lost in a very direct way.
so lets no compare real life to NHL players and referees. at the end of the day a big non event in most peoples eyes.

Correct. Or give him a 2 minute minor if it gets out of hand, I believe there's a penalty for that misconduct.
Habs seem like they’re desperate trying anything to avoid getting blamed for blowing a 3-0 lead. Not that it matters anyway, the team is garbage and misses the playoffs win or loss.

no saying Morton did a good job last night but please show other examples of how he had it in for them besides last nights questionable game.

a) The game was over b) I'd personally rather have some curse word than random penalties , fines or suspensions for stupid nonsense.
When things are heated people lose their cool and use harsh language . It happens. Perfectly normal.

This not a penalty looks exactly the same as the penalty Armia got earlier in the game that lead to Dallas' 2nd goal.

People really need to stop comparing the NHL to the regular 9-5 job. It is not the same.
I once worked as a tech support/CSR for Xbox. You haven't heard anything like the wrath of angry video game nerds. I was actually very much a people person prior to that job. Not so much now.
