One of the worst calls I've ever seen in OT.
2 minutes for checking..
OT penalties are almost the kiss of death for the receiving team... as was this one.
This was a great defensive play by Frost. Not a penalty. Frost reached around the other player with his arm and stick in an attempt to knock the puck away with the blade of his stick... and he did so. His stick blade made contact with the puck. Slow down the video frame by frame and its clear as day.

The flames only good chance in that overtime came on a missed interference penalty. Guessing people would not be complaining if that ended the game.

Looks like a bad call from that angle, but we can’t see what Frost is doing with that right arm which looks like it’s wrapped around the puck carrier.
Exactly....look, it's a soft call in my opinion, but it's not something I'd flash up as an example of a brutal call. Once you life your stick and wrap your arm like that and take your other hand off the stick....you are playing with fire. Normally when you do anything with your free hand you are at risk of a holding penalty.

Again, I think this meets the definition of a penalty, but if they call everything that would technically be a penalty, there would basically never be 5v5 hockey......weak call, but whatever....maybe easier said being a non-Calgary fan though.

Looks like could be a holding call.

Ya, it’s an incredibly soft one, but it’s within the realm of reality.

Meh.

I’m more bothered by the blatant non-calls for any team with a 1 or 2 goal lead. Refs wanna keep games close so bad you can just see their judgment turn to biased bullshit. Those can affect the game just as much.

Reffing has always been bad but I would give them the benefit of doubt, ever since betting has been involved it's been significantly worse. Never seen so many makeup calls in my life.

But yes that is a bad call.

I love when team A gets PP chances until they get a lead after being down by a goal or two. Then once team A gets the lead, team B gets multiple power plays to help regain that lead or tie the game.
