I was just coming in to ask how many blitzes were dialed up, it felt like it was just the front 4 caving in the OL every play. Zero is silly.

The last time I saw that in a game was Jack Del Rio, but it had the opposite result.

Wasnt there one blitz? I thought the play where Baun went untouched into Mahomes was a blitz.

The drafted defensive line players were showing up. Big Pimpin' Jalyx Hunt had a goodnight as well. Nolan Smith was in there for some pressures. The speed on the outside of the line with the 4 man rush and then the Jalen Carter plus rotating DT partner got even more pressure inside because of the tackles being so spaced out trying to deal with the outside edge guys.

I’m assuming you mean the play with ~4 Minutes left. Nolan Smith dropped out into coverage. Blitz measures like this count the number of players rushing the QB. So there were still only 4.

Modern defenses are too complicated to define by purely whether a guy someone, somewhere labeled a LB is coming or not.

Jake Elliott now has the record for most points by a kicker in a Super Bowl game ever. 4/4 FG's plus 4/4 XP's giving him 16. Breaking the record going all the way back to Super Bowl II by Don Chandler who had 15 points (4/4 FG, 3/3 XP)

Now, I try not to be a Wentz hater (it just didn't work out here with him in the end, wasn't all his fault, he definitely shared some of the blame though, whatever...), but him going to the Super Bowl twice (under very different circumstances, but he was there 2 times now), only to sit on the bench and watch 2 of his back-ups here in Philly not only win the Super Bowl, but outplay Brady and Mahomes respectively, and win the MVP as well, is diabolical stuff. Damn!

Milton Williams I just cannot see. I kept saying I thought they'd try to keep him over everyone else, but he's going to make too much money now. He doesn't even turn 26 until April. Someone is backing up a second armored car.

The DL won this game. Make no mistake about it. The back end of the defense played well too, but everything hinged on getting pressure with 4. This was their best game of the year by far.
