Wrong side, but I get what you're trying to say. Unless Edvisson can play the right side he is a luxury the Oilers can't afford.

No offense, but you can't afford Seider either.

McDavid and Draisaitl are obviously and understandably off limits. (And more valuable, of course) You wouldn't offer Bouchard as there's not much point in seeking a RHD if you're gonna trade a RHD. And to be honest, I wouldn't trade Seider for Bouchard straight up. I like Seider's defensive ability far more and am not convinced by Bouchard's numbers while QBing a McDrai PP. Not to mention Seider is locked in at $8.5M x 7 years while Bouchard is reportedly asking for an absurd number.

Outside those three, Edmonton's major assets are all 30+, they don't have much for prospects, and high picks aren't that high.

Talbot has been lights out so far or things would be even worse for Detroit.

A lot of goalie needy teams could do worse.

Trading him would also go a long way to keeping Detroit near the top of the lottery.

This.

Edvinsson is great and he could very capably fill the void Broberg left but our left side is a strength, not a weakness.

Big fat meh to all of Chiarot, Petry, Holl, Gustafsson and Johansson (though Stauffer has mentioned Gus by name more than once as a potential target)
