Value of: Red Wings Fire Sale

Looks a list of aging name vets that the Oilers didn't sign this offseason. Give our team age, I wouldn't even want Kane and I'm a huge fan of his.

Tarasenko, Lyon , Chiarot and Kane have some trading value. Lombardi, Mazur, Danielson, ASP, Buchelnikov, Cossa and MBN very close to be in NHL. Need new coach and #3 defansman. Detroit will be fine. Don't need to do a lot.

Any prospect(s) or picks should be available in a package from the Jets for Larkin.

He'd fit into our lineup and system perfectly with his speed

Seems like Kane will only play for an O6 team and the only ones that are contenders right now are the Rags (been there done that) and the Leafs (would he go to Canada?). Bruins might be able to come ba l and make the playoffs.

Detroit has exactly one defender I would want the Oilers to trade for, and it's the one player they absolutely won't trade.

Obvious, the wings aren’t playing great. We have some great pieces tho. I don’t think that it would come to this, but just to see the value of some of the wings players, I figured I would make this thread to see what others around the league are thinking.

Some of the bigger pieces that I’m interested in what the value would be. Larkin, Cat, Kane, Tarasenko, Compher, Copp, Chariot, Rasmussen, Veleno, Lyon, and Talbot.

Hopefully, the wings start winning, but if this trajectory continues, the trade deadline could be interesting.

Fans expect Detroit to invest the hardest in Larkin, DeBrincat, Seider, Kane, Copp, Chariot, Sandin Pellikka, Gustafsson, Talbot, Buchelnikov, Kasper, Veleno, Motte then trade Lyon for Jarry if possible.

I’d love the Sharks to take a chance on Veleno and Berggren. See if they can extract any value there. Maybe something like Bordeleau and rights to Chmelevski

Leafs need top 6 players, ideally at center but most importantly is they can produce. Anything that might fit?

Also they need to be able to play a Berube system.

I mean our defense sucks, but this post screams "I haven't watched Detroit at all this year".

The Oilers need a RHD. A really good RHD. Have I watched Detroit this year? No. They don't broadcast those games in Western Canada. What am I missing other than Seider is a guy the Oilers would dearly love to have but aren't likely to ever get?

Are you trying to convince me Petry and Holl are worth going after? I don't see them as worthwhile avenues for the Oilers to pursue.

Would cost the Wings a lot more than a 2nd to dump that collection.

(because I love Jake Walman + my 2nd rd pick!!)

I'm very aware that you don't watch Red Wings games lol. Because the statement "Detroit has exactly one defender that I would want to trade for" suggests that you wouldn't want them to trade for Edvinsson, which is laughable.

Other than that, yes, our defense is ungodly levels of bad.

Wrong side, but I get what you're trying to say. Unless Edvisson can play the right side he is a luxury the Oilers can't afford.
