The last 7 games out of 9 ended in OT against them. The other 2, we got shutout.

Each year it’s the same thing, they host a bunch of shows and make $$$ so they send the Habs on the road. This year it looks like « Cirque du soleil » shows

Usually, a very sad trip for the Habs. Would be nice to see the Bell Centre not do this every freaking year, after year................rinse and repeat. Horrendous to do to the team ALL the time.
You would think Geoff Molson could maybe help us out here....

Made sense, at the time.....................most thought Primo would be much better this season, and well, he's not.

What happened to the Red Wings who are managed by that genious Steeeeve Yserman? When he was hired it was like some kind of a revolution, the RW were going to be a Cup Contender Team after 6 years of his regime. And where are the RW now? Go back to the posts here when he was hired. The hype, the exagerations, etc. Well, not everything is simple and predictable like 1+2=3.
Detroit has one of the worst PK in the league.
I expect a close game. Especially since this is another 2 days break and the Habs are shit with those (Buffalo was their 1st win). Also, I feel like Matheson is due for another "worst game ever", but that might be tomorrow.

If possible, I like Hutson and Matheson on seperate pairings......
They can both skate it out, or pass it out better than others..............having them on seperate pairs has one of them on the ice, 2/3 of the game

They did get ruined in the lottery a few times and then they started to pick for specific player archetypes rather than pure talent. Marco Kasper, Nate Danielson and Michael Brandsegg-Nygard are all great little players but none of them are lifting the skill ceiling of their franchise.
On top of that, Yzerman rushed to sign veterans off UFA which raised the floor of his team and now they don't have enough elite talent through the draft and are strangled by some bad contracts for bad vets who are doing enough to keep them out of the bottom 5 but not enough to bring them to the playoffs.
He's bungled it pretty hard. For all the caution stories of the Sabres/Sens, people don't talk enough about how the Red Wings is an example of trying to get out of a rebuild too quickly by artificially raising your floor could be just as, if not more, detrimental.

I think we can draw parallels with the red wings and Larkin to Suzuki and the Habs. I imagine the red wings look at Larkin as the oldest peice of their young core much like Suzuki in montreal. Perhaps the wings started feeling a couple years ago when Larkin was in his 26 year old season that they need to accelerate things in order to time it with the prime of a core peice. Their execution was poor but I would be able to understand what they were trying to do.
Suzuki will be 26 next year, so it will be a similar situation for montreal. I'm not saying the Habs are going to make moves thinking they need to win a cup right at that moment, but they might feel the need to turn a corner at that point where progression will also include more emphasis on wins and losses.
