Still trying to get a top sixer to drop, but it's fun to try!

9 (1). Dalibor Dvorsky (C)
17 (1). Nate Danielson (C)
41 (2). Ethan Gauthier (RW)
42 (2). Gavin Brindley (C)
43 (2). Jayden Perron (RW)
73 (3). Oscar Fisker Molgaard (C)
117 (4). Noah Dower-Nilsson (LW)
137 (5). Andrew Gibson (RD)
169 (6). Dylan MacKinnon (RD)

Haha yeah the chances of that happening are very low but it's possible. Only Bedard can't drop.

Finally got one! And then I tried to see if there was a realistic path to do an entire draft without taking a center, but could not pass on Nilsson dropping that far:

9 (1). Ryan Leonard (RW)
17 (1). Tom Willander (RD)
41 (2). Danil But (LW)
42 (2). Oliver Bonk (RD)
43 (2). Mikhail Gulyayev (LD)

117 (4). Noah Dower-Nilsson (LW)
137 (5). Felix Nilsson (C)

Listened to the 6/16 episode of The Pipeline Show and Guy said that Whitelaw really rubbed members of the USA hockey the wrong way at the Hlinka and that he had an incident towards the end of the season where he said something derogatory to a USHL player.

Take that for what it's worth. For a guy who was already projected 2nd/3rd round area I am thinking he might take a tumble.

EP draft guide also had a scout's comment about how he's a problematic teammate. Thinks he's better than everyone on the team and isn't a good guy in the locker room. Sounds Tony DeAngelo-ish.

Took a mix of big swings and guys tough to play against, and ended up with more wingers than I expected:

9 (1). Zach Benson (LW)
17 (1). Tom Willander (RD)
41 (2). Eduard Sale (LW)
42 (2). Gracyn Sawchyn (C)
43 (2). Jayden Perron (RW)

I like how this one turned out:

9 (1). Zach Benson (LW)
17 (1). Brayden Yager (C)
41 (2). Gavin Brindley (C)
42 (2). Lukas Dragicevic (RD)
43 (2). Gracyn Sawchyn (C)
73 (3). Oscar Fisker Molgaard (C)
117 (4). Noah Dower-Nilsson (LW)
137 (5). Jaden Lipinski (C)
169 (6). Connor Levis (RW)
201 (7). Matteo Mann (RD)

In hindsight, I should have just taken Perron at 73, but overall a group I'd be thrilled to get.

One more, with funny positional balance. All the wingers are on the left and all the defensemen are on the right:

9 (1). Zach Benson (LW)
17 (1). Tom Willander (RD)
41 (2). Riley Heidt (C)
42 (2). David Edstrom (C)
43 (2). Nick Lardis (LW)

We have a tendency to let Hakan pick our most important draft picks at the front of the draft and that has proven to be effective. I wonder what our play is if Dvorsky goes before 9? Reinbacher seems to be a guy who consistently drops, so I wonder if we draft him with 9OA and then go after a center with #17?

9 (1). David Reinbacher (RD)
17 (1). Brayden Yager (C)
41 (2). Kalan Lind (LW)
42 (2). Gracyn Sawchyn (C)
43 (2). Easton Cowan (RW)
73 (3). Oscar Fisker Molgaard (C)
117 (4). Beau Akey (RD)
137 (5). Tristan Bertucci (LD)
169 (6). Jakub Stancl (C)
201 (7). Jan Spunar (G)

This draft below would be super underwhelming at the top, but if Hakan is making those 9 and 17 picks he may stick with European prospects.

9 (1). Tom Willander (RD)
17 (1). David Edstrom (C)
41 (2). Kasper Halttunen (RW)
42 (2). Gracyn Sawchyn (C)
43 (2). Easton Cowan (RW)
73 (3). Oscar Fisker Molgaard (C)
117 (4). Jesse Nurmi (LW)
137 (5). Denver Barkey (C)
169 (6). Cole Knuble (C)
201 (7). Noa Vali (G)

Yzerman has said Hakan is helping provide feedback on NA prospects so I think there may be a case in this draft for us to select at least one NA prospect with 9 or 17.

Is there any way to pick every pick? Just to follow along on draft day and make the picks to keep track of who is still available. That would be a great tool, at least for me since I usually make a spreadsheet using Bob McKenzie's list anyways.

Not a bad idea. If more people want this, I can try to make it happen for the draft.

For now, copying the list into an excel file and deleting lines as the draft goes along also works.
