Read the post from rt above, sounds more like he had a minor injury and Arizona asked that he not be added to the team until they knew he’d be healthy.

Anyways, he’s been great. I’d say early favourites for “top dman of the tournament” are him and Romanov.
No it was confirmed that adam boqvist was ahead of Söderström by the swe coach..

I'd Say Seider would definately be in the running for best D. Though not reaching the quarterfinals definately hurt whatever chances he had.

This guy is genuinely playing like one of the very elite prospects in hockey right now. He is probably going to break the U19 SHL defenceman points record which is just incredible considering all of the great defencemen Sweden have produced, and considering Söderström is not really known as an offensive defenceman primarily.

He will make the NHL next year, which sucks since I want him at the WJC. Scored a goal once again today, and a nasty shoutout winner. Victor Söderström had 27:22 of ice time, as an 18 year old, in the SHL, I don’t think people understand how insane that is!

That is damn impressive, sounds like you have had alot of opportunities to watch him. What type of defensman does he project to be at the NHL level? Any comparable players? When I saw him at the WJC he was very solid, no mistakes great positioning, very cerebral.

I think he has all the tools to be a top 2 defenceman, maybe a #1D. He has a very high defensive IQ, makes smart reads, is a puck moving defenceman, with good offensive skill and creativity. He is a bit undersized and probably needs to add some explosiveness, strength and speed before being effective in the NHL though. I would compare him to someone like Spurgeon maybe.

A bigger Spurgeon would be awesome. Have always liked this prospect. High IQ.

Definitely Jealous as a Canuck fan. Pod is looking like a great pick but we could really use some high end defenders in the pipeline

Looks like Brynas isn't going to make the SHL playoffs so we could see Soderstrom re-join the Coyotes pretty soon here.

Do Coyotes fans know what the plan is there?

Now officially out of the playoffs, and safe from relegation, so only thing left to play for is if Brynäs will finish 11th or 12th in the RS. Which is whatever.

90% chance he goes to Tucson. Coyotes don't have a coaching staff interested in integrating a rookie in the middle of a playoff push.

Arozona-@ D will be rrally good in 2 years.

Especially if OEL can comeback from his injuries, and play the way he is capable of.
