It’s worth noting that these minutes weren’t sheltered minutes, which can happen with crazy stats like these. He was out there in every important situation. It seemed like he was out there the whole game to be honest.

The first round of the playoffs Rogle was dominant so they did a lot of resting Seider but he was a monster in the second round when the games were tougher. Putting together such an dominant performance when everything is on the line is so impressive for anyone, let alone a kid. Every time you think there is no way this kid can exceed his sky high expectations, he somehow manages to do it. The finals should be entertaining.

Honestly this as been evident since last year's WJCs. Germany was two completely different teams.

I specifically remember everybody raving about Zegras having four goals in the USA/Germany game. Oddly, Seider played nearly 30 minutes that game and I'm pretty sure none of Zegras' goals happened with him on the ice. Maybe one on a PP?

I am not sure on this entirely and I know I should look it up. But I think he was on ice in that tournament for one goal against or something ridiculous like that. You saw this immediately with Grand Rapids last year as well and now in Rogle. The big hits and humongous personality have a lot of people excited, but it is the sheer dominance and the way he tilts the ice is what I am starting to notice 100 games into watching the guy every time out.

The nicest thing I can say about a D. When Mo Seider rolls over the boards, I feel security, that we will be in control while he is out there. That is what you see with the elite D-man, if you don't feel that you don't have an actual top 5-10 d-man. Like other Wings fans, I am just excited to see him next year. I hope he can win Rogle their first SHL championships and he has a great World Championships for Germany. He is going to make a big impact for us next year even as a rookie, he is that good.

Felt more like Seider's b+ game today, I know he scored. But I am hoping he is a little more dominant in game 2, Rogle needs him to be in this series.

His B+ game still solidly puts him as a top 5 defender in that league. Plus the guy just finished a tough series against Skelleftea, and Vaxjo plays a verrrrry different way than Skelleftea. I'm expecting a big rebound Mo next game. He seems like a very introspective kid and spends a ton of time studying the tape.

It has been very rare to see him make the same mistake twice thus far, he makes adjustments to his game at an incredible rate. I think he is one of those guys that didn't even know how gifted he truly was, each time he tries something new or adds a wrinkle it just seems to pop right in. Curious to see that at the highest level where he will be challenged a lot more and get to see more looks and creativity.

Seider once again utilizes his enormous wingspan and reach to deliver highlight level hugs.

Will he join team Germany for WC now?

barring some sort of injury yeah

he expressed interest in going in an interview a while back

Since Stützle is not coming, It would be a great to have Seider on the team. I mean I will watch anyway, but it is even more fun when there are such talented young players on the team.

He was absolutely dominant in the first two series but just average in the finals. I don't think he was on the ice for a goal against until the finals. Rogle got outclassed in general against Vaxjo. Still an amazing season for him and that organization.

The clip that starts around 3:38 is what I am excited to see more of as he grows. Plus look at that pass at 2:22!

EDIT: He might have been on for a couple goals against early in the Frolunda series

Why are Wings fans so defensive about him? Is anyone doubting him at this point? I read the two most recent pages and there was nothing negative about him.

All these posts below were pretty negative in the last two pages. But the majority of the defensive posts came from Craig Buttons prospect rankings that had him ranked the number one prospect in the league. A decent amount of Rangers fans came in saying Lundvist had just as good of a season this season and last, which isnt true.

When was the last time a 19 year old, junior aged player won this award??

To be fair, neither is Seider

Been a long time since Wings fans overvalued a prospect this much.

MORBID CIDER is a Carbon Copy of another German Jewel plucked by Redwangs Uwe Krupp

Many, many fans were doubting him. Read a couple of the recent scouting services pages as well. Admittedly it was mostly NYR fans for some reason

What's a good NHL comparable (both in terms of upside and style) for Seider? Prime Suter?
