I like seeing him get NHL TOI. It will only help him to get better, and give him ideas on what to work on when he goes back down to the AHL. If the Wild are healthy he will not be cracking the D lineup, except as a #7D, possibly, and you don't want a young guy sitting the pine instead of playing top pairing minutes down in Iowa.

Right now, he's 25% good, 25% bad, and 50% an awkward in between. With work and maturity a lot of his issues will be fixed, but am not so sure about his mental game. He seems to be trying to do the right thing for most of the game, but has periods where he reminds me of Matt Dumba, and i don't mean the good Matt Dumba. I'll put it down to youthful exuberance.

Imagine when he learns to skate and takes leg day seriously!

Some people wrongly see him as a shutdown guy in their head because of his Size and all or limited viewings , he's a guy you can't develop on the third pair like teams have been trying to do since acquiring him in my opinion. Transition offensive guy not a defensive stopper specialist.

Exactly this ... Same thing happened to bouch before Barrie trade.

Ah, the classic, "He is not succeeding because the coach isn't playing him high enough in the lineup!" argument.
