When do we get to start overrating him and hyping him up as a future top pairing 60-70 point dman?

There are some stylistic comparisons to Erik Karlsson floating around, so why stop at only 60-70 points? :sarcasm:

You know, now that you mention it, even Ray Bourque never scored 65 points in the WHL, and he certainly wasn't a 55 point pace player in the AHL.

Ya know, despite him being slower, smaller and weaker I really think he’s the next Kris Letang :sarcasm:

Played his first NHL game last night against the Kings, due to 5 of MN's top 7 Dmen being out with Covid. Was paired with Suter, and played near 20 minutes, 2 SOG. He looked good. Poised with the puck, good vision, and good feet. Did not look out of place at all in the NHL. Remains to be seen how he fares in board battles, and without the puck in general, but he looks to have top 4 puck skills and offensive IQ, at the very least.

Very impressed with this player. Would like him to get a few games but spend the majority of the season in Iowa. I think he’ll be a sneaky Calder contender next year. He’s going to produce and will likely be our most dynamic RD come this time next year -> PP1

Speaking of high scoring WHL D men, What about Menell? Any indication of him being on the NHL squad this season?

Well, he can't get out of his contract with Dinamo Minsk till the season is ended, and it looks like they are a playoff team. Don't see him being on the squad till next year, and even that is not a sure thing. If Dumba isn't traded it will be hard to fit he and Addison in. Very similar skillsets.

Not this year, the deadline to sign him has passed and he’s in the KHL, but I’d expect him to be on the team next year. I also think there’s a pretty good chance he becomes one of the rare group 5 (I think) UFAs at 25 due to lack of games played. So, there’s that.

It's hard to say how he is defensively...certainly not a "stopper"... but he sure can skate and handle the puck.

Strange to see a young dman who is almost too confident. He is not nervous at all. I think he ends up a solid 4/5 with the potential to be a 3D if everything clicks.

He's not Brodin, for sure, but he he has some solid stick work that's only going to get better, he's not afraid to engage physically, and when he does get the puck he's very good at getting it out of the zone.

Is there really no role from Wild D???

His career is not progressing much more in the AHL
-after this season

He is not good enough for the big leagues?

----

25 points in 30 games this season.

12 goals 50 points in 64 career AHL games.

for the 21 year old

-----

5 points in the NHL, in 15 games this season.

My gut tells me that Addison is likely to be packaged as part of a trade deal this summer. Especially since the Gologoski extension.
