Surely you’re joking...did you watch either of them play at all? And no, highlight reels don’t count. Smith is astronomically more dependable and just as talented. Why is this kid not rated higher? I can easily see him being better than Ty Smith

And I like Addison.
You’re absolutely correct. And his stick and body checking ability, as well as general strength, are also just clearly on another level.Defensively it's not close, Smith is so intelligent in his own zone. Smith's hockey IQ is far ahead.

Three years away is a bit of a stretch on my opinion, I feel like he could compete for a spot as early as next year or two years from now. He looked comfortable in his first AHL games. Can any WHL fans weigh in on the likely hood of this kid breaking into the NHL early?
I assume he's three years away if we are lucky?
Any WHL watchers able to shed any light on his slow scoring start to the season? Is he not seeing much time with Cozens?
Was about to say that he has zero chance of a top-4 role but fairly likely a bottom pairing or 7th dman, particularly if Dobson comes back, but then I remembered that this is Hockey Canada. He could play 30 minutes a game or be off the team.Any ideas if he will be a regular on the WJC?
