Small sample size, but that will be notable if it continues. Are there any comparable defenseman that consistently have more goals than assists?
More no...but higher ratios of goals scored to assists...Shea Weber.

There's no argument to be made for that, no. Unless you mean for defensemen, in which case I guess there's an argument to be made.Thats a pretty incredible start.
Theyre different players obviously but Seider in his draft+2 had arguably the best junior season in the SHL.... ASP is one goal off his total in 28 less games. Only draft+1 too
I was specifically talking about dmen, but in general I dont think there are many seasons better. Especially considering he just picked up and moved to that league without any real camp with the team or anything if I remember correctly. There's no argument to be made for that, no. Who's your top 5/10 prospects outside the NHL?Is it too early to say he’s playing like a top 5 prospect outside of the NHL?? He’s lighting up the SHL as a defenseman, and he’s on the leagues lowest scoring team.
What is the record you mentioned if you don't mind. For SHL or Skelleftea?Geez...one goal away from tying a 40 year old record. Assuming there is no massive regression from the WJC, he should be over in NA, next season. I know Skeleftea will probably want to keep him another year, but he'll be needed in Detroit if he keeps up the progress.
First SHL defenseman under the age of 19 to score eight or more goals in a season since Ulf Samuelsson scored nine goals for Leksands IF in 1982-83.What is the record you mentioned if you don't mind. For SHL or Skelleftea?
Appreciate it. Thanks!First SHL defenseman under the age of 19 to score eight or more goals in a season since Ulf Samuelsson scored nine goals for Leksands IF in 1982-83.

Not really the way Yzerman operates, i won't be surprised one bit when ASP plays in SHL next year. Ghost will keep his seat warm.he should be over in NA, next season. I know Skeleftea will probably want to keep him another year, but he'll be needed in Detroit if he keeps up the progress.
Ghost is on a one year deal. He's holding the spot for Edvinsson. ASP is in line to take Petry's spot unless he's not ready when Petry's contract expires, then he will take Holl's spot. Not really the way Yzerman operates, i won't be surprised one bit when ASP plays in SHL next year. It's fairly self-evident that if the players are ready, they are easy swaps. If they aren't then it obviously won't happen this way. But it doesn't take any amount of brains to see how and why the roster was constructed. We appreciate the update, Steve
He can be re-signed and Petry should be bought out after the season. Petry is on Ed's spot right now. Holl is 3rd pair D and PK specialist, ASP is not going to play in that role. Holl's spot goes to Wallinder eventually.Ghost is on a one year deal. He's holding the spot for Edvinsson. Right...and my comments should always be understood as "If the player continues to develop at their current pace." Which is why I said that if ASP isn't replacing Petry, he'll most likely replace Holl when his contract is up. I'm sure there will be come surprises/delays between now and then, but that seems to be how it is all lining up.He can be re-signed and Petry should be bought out after the season. 24-25 DET
Walman - Seider
Ed - Ghost
Chiarot - Holl
Määttä
But my point was that Yzerman is not going to rush ASP, he's gonna play in Sweden next year.
With the way Chiarot, Holl and Maatta have been playing, I don't think they're going to pose much an issue for ASP. Too much skill. He can be re-signed and Petry should be bought out after the season. The AHL sounds likely. Yzerman seems to like D spending at least a year in the A.Not really the way Yzerman operates, i won't be surprised one bit when ASP plays in SHL next year. Ghost will keep his seat warm.
