Well the good news is at least Yzerman drafted two players who are worth max contracts, what a change from the Holland years.
What did it taking this long hurt? Why did it take this long to get what pretty much everyone thought he'd get at 8x8 done?
Because Yzerman would have liked a lower cap hit and Raymond would have liked a higher one. With training camp about to begin, they settled their differences. Why did it take this long to get what pretty much everyone thought he'd get at 8x8 done?

Well every time I feed my dog, I do get the feeling it is an intense negotiation.. I also do not win every timeWhen's the last time you negotiated a $64 million contract?

You can be annoyed. But honestly, until they miss games, it's meaningless. And between this post and now, Raymond signed at 8x8.075.False dichotomy. Every other team this summer got their young stars signed by now, all of which have been solid contracts fair for both parties.
These bad faith arguments get old quick.

It would be nice to get rid of Copp, or Holl's contract and give Seider his long term bag.
I haven’t, but I’ve also never filmed a movie either yet I’m permitted to go to the movies and say I didn’t like what I just saw. When's the last time you negotiated a $64 million contract?
I texted Stevie earlier and told him that, and that he better get Seider done by tomorrow morning.I bet you would have gotten it done by June
Those two things aren’t analogous.I haven’t, but I’ve also never filmed a movie either yet I’m permitted to go to the movies and say I didn’t like what I just saw.
If I were invested financially and emotionally in the later, then what’s the issue with voicing concern over it?Those two things aren’t analogous.
A hockey game is the movie. You’re complaining about how long it took for CAA and Paramount to negotiate Tom Cruise’s deal.
