Rasmus Ristolainen has a chance to do something in his 12 NHL season that he has not done in his prior 11.

That's a crazy stat but to be fair mostly that's just playing a lot of minutes in bad teams. It's even more crazy dude has a 16-year professional career and has never played in a team which had a positive goal differential over a season.
He peaked in his first game, it happens (see Matthews)

Something interesting about all this is Ristolainen probably made more money by playing as a #1D in a bad team than he would've if he had played most of his career in a good team, in a role more suited for him.
 
He got a -1 since this screenshot, so he's only a +3 now. Slowly but surely getting back to his true form.
