No way MacKinnon is a 5 green star player, that's Crosby/Lemieux/Gretzky type potential. 4.5 Green Stars or 5 yellow at max.

:shakehead Horrendous overrating of the Avs guys.

ROR = 85
Landeskog = 86(Mayyybe, 87)
Mackinnon = 85, not 5* Green. 5* Yellow at most, probably 4.5* Green
McGinn = 81
Mitchell = 79
Briere = 79
EJ = 85/6
Barrie = 83

A lot of guys overrated by 2 levels. The only one who IMO should be higher is Duchene, who I think should be a 90.

Hejda is really underrated. Guy was a workhorse for us last year. He had a bad playoff though.

Wow, it's amazing how the Avalanche suddenly became the deepest team in the NHL. Why not just give everyone a rating of 100 and be done with it?

Aww someone's mad because the Avs are actually a solid team. :shakehead

Don't get me wrong. They are a good team, but some people are overrating them a bit too much. I like yours, they are at least reasonable. The only one I disagree with is Iginla at an 86, he will still be an 85.

I also like Pierce's ratings that he gave.

ROR = 85
Landeskog = 86(Mayyybe, 87)
Mackinnon = 85, not 5* Green. 5* Yellow at most, probably 4.5* Green ( Honestly Mack should be 4.5*Green stars)
McGinn = 81
Mitchell = 79
Briere = 79
EJ = 85/6
Barrie = 83

Super minor, but I'm not sure how you could put Landy 2 or even 1 point ahead of ROR. They're pretty much the same, if not ROR a bit better.

Also think all of you have Brad Stuart too high, though I guess EA did overrate him last year.

Yeah I'm not much of a Stuart fan either, but his defensive stats will likely make him an 83. Also people are under rating Holden. I believe he should be at least an 80.

I agree with you with ROR and Landy. Both at the same overall is good.
Briere at 80 seems very reasonable. I could see Mitchell at 79.
MacK at 84 seems good for him. He's only 18 so that should be fine. If you put him at 85 it seems way too close to Landy/ROR's overalls. MacK is still gonna turn out to be a stud in the game anyways.

Wow, it's amazing how the Avalanche suddenly became the deepest team in the NHL. Why not just give everyone a rating of 100 and be done with it?

They were already a deep team in NHL 14 on Offnese, so dont see what your point is.

The NHL 14 roster for the Avs was:

ROR(84) - Duchene(87) - Paranteau(84)
Landy(85) - Stastny(85) - Tanguay(84)
McGinn(80) - Mackinnon(85) - Talbot(81)
McCleod(75) - Mitchell(79) - Cliche(74)

That roster was already pretty damn deep. Add in career years from ROR, Duchene, Mack, McGinn, and Landy means all 4 of them will likely get at least 1-2 overall boosts.

They lose Stastny and Paranteau, but replace them with Iginla(86 in NHL 14), and Briere(81 in NHL 14).

They are a deep team. They have a lot of depth on Offense, and they improved Defensively with the addition of Stuart who always gets a ~83 overall rating in the NHL games. Plus boosts to Holden and Barrie after breakout seasons.

The Avs are a deep team on offense, and got deeper on Defense.
