IMO it is Bergeron and Kariya coming out first.
I would have loved seeing Kariya in today's game, I think he would be a blast...

Yes, younger or just ignorant. Kariya before the career-altering concussions was compared to Gretzky. His peak would have been insane compared to the other three. He was an amazing shooter and passer with unbelievable hockey IQ, as well as great under pressure. He was unlucky to play for shit teams. When he finally joined better teams, he was not even half the player he originally was.

I'm just going to laugh at you saying he would be at the bottom by a lot, when you got a guy like Hossa on that list.
He wasn't compared to Gretzky, he was a good player but I think your old age and dementia are affecting your memory. His highest two scoring seasons he either tied Selanne or Selanna had more points. At his absolute, he was 3rd in points league wide. Selanne regularly outscored him.

No, my memory is in pretty good shape. He was compared to Gretzky in his first two-three years in the league. He got his first concussion soon after that. He was a better player than Selanne.

He was never a better player than Selanne, at best his equal and most years inferior. Kayira was one dimensional at best and was NEVER the top of the class. He was compared to Feds for his speed and that's about it.

You can't even spell his name right. Kariya was definitely a better overall player. Selanne was a better goal scorer, but that's about it.

Ohnoes, SpElLing is off. Guess what, He was always the inferior player. Don't like it? No one cares because no one cares about who only managed to come in third once was it? Not even a second place finish. And the stats do literally tell the story, if he wasn't on the score sheet he might as well not have been on the ice at all.

Sounds to me like you're either a Selanne fanboy or a fan who cheered for one of the players who concussed Kariya and ruined his career. Well, I guess you could also just be younger and have no clue what the hell was being said about Kariya back in '93, '94, and '95.

This is a bit of a tricky question because you have two guys in Datsyuk and Kariya that were rarely healthy come playoff time. Both were guys that I think had pretty severe drop offs in effectiveness when not healthy. Their games were too predicated on skill and losing even that milisecond of reaction time hampered them more than guys that played less of a skilled game (see Zetterberg vs Datsyuk in the playoffs).

So if we are ploppin a prime healthy version of a player into the game I'd probably take Datsyuk and then Kariya.

If we are taking health into account I probably take Bergeron and then Hossa.

I will always take the center over the winger in terms of overall game impact if everything else is equal.
