Now that we know the format for world cup 2016 how do you see the teams material wise? This is not medal prediction but general strenght of the team roster. Still 1½ years away and lot can change in rosters but im curious on specially how people see the NAU23 team and Europe all star ranked vs the top6 nations.

Withouth further comments here my ranking.

1. Canada
2. Usa
3. Sweden
4. Russia
5. Europe All Star
6. Czech
7. Finland
8. North America U23

1) Canada
2) Sweden
3) USA
4) Russia
5) Finland
6) Euro leftovers
7) Czech Rep
8) NA kiddie squad

This is assuming the best available players will actually show up and give a damn, which is very questionable assumption.

7. Czech Republic
8. North American u-24 team.

Not sure why there's so little love for the Euro All-stars

Halak/Hiller in net, both streaky goals that can win games by themselves
Josi, Ehrhoff, Seidenber, Chara, Sekera, Sbisa is a solid D core, could even be better than the Finns or Czechs

Upfront....

Hossa - Kopitar - Gaborik
Tatar - Grabovski - Vanek
Boedker - Eller - Girgenson
Niedderiter - Nielsen - Zuccarlo

Thats a solid forward group. Again better than Finn's or Czechs imo.

They (Europe) will have no motivation.

I don´t know about rules to ensure players participation on this team, but it easily can end up like a lot more grinder/young team than some kind of all-star due to fact stars players put vacation on the first place and some lesser players take a chance to make a name or participate on a tournamnet they could dream of in their national teams.

You actually ranked the kids higher than Finland and the Czech Republic? They won't win a single match.

Only good thing in this format is that people who think their kids are that good will see that they aren't.

1. Sweden
2. Canada
3. Russia
4. USA
5. Finland (trusting on borderline NHL-break troughts going on atm being succesfull break troughs).
6. Czech Republic
7. American Kids
8. European Notgivea****'s.

Who cares? This tournament has no meaning. Don't even bother watching it.

I'm going on record now so even if Canada loses this tournament no one can say that I'm just saying this cause Canada lost: the results of this tournament mean nothing. Absolutely zero.

It would be funny if they beat the Finns or the Czechs  probably not, but at least it will be interesting imo.

That kid team is good. I mean I'd prob have them lowest ranked but would not be surprised to see them upset some teams. If Gibson got hot, they have great d and MacKinnon, McDavid light it up a bit.

Think you should have made a larger gap. No one else is going to give a ****.

If [insert country] wins it they're the best because it was a best-on-best. If they lose it doesn't count because the tournament was a joke to begin with.

No way that Sweden is better than Canada, specially on paper, but thanks for the flattering.
