Honestly I didn't realize Scheifele was as old as he is.

But I don't see you coming in here to suggest ideas, only shitting on others. Who do you think they'd get?
Shitting on others? I litterally brought up the fact you suggested an old player when the rumor clearly says young and you are getting all tight about that.

Hmm interesting this might make some sense to move Bertuzzi to NYR and have Laf as part of the package coming back to Detroit.
Bertuzzi can’t play in New York. There’s no deal to be had there

Got a gut feeling Montreal will be in on this. They got assets for Chiarot. They can take the chance on Laf

We also have an underachieving 9OA we can add.

This is a steal, Rangers. Three top-10 picks from the last 6 drafts!
Would I be correct in also noting that two of those three players have already scored more in the NHL than Lafreniere?

EDIT: Indeed, one of them has exactly the same number of points as Laf in exactly the same number of games played for this season, and the other has one more point. That's a hell of a steal. They totally have to go for that.

Laf is basically Yakupov without the promising rookie season until proven otherwise. If he's traded, it should be at a reclamation project's value. Just keep him and learn to develop forwards.

While not “young”, Scheifele would be a great fit on the NYR, also fitting into their current playoff window nicely, and they‘d have a really good chance of extending him when his current contract ends, if they wanted to.
But, I get them wanting to get a younger player in return

Seems like the rangers want a young talent with high end potential, so I doubt they would be interested in late 1st round picks.
They would want one of Suzuki, Caufield, or the top 5 pick, which are easy pass for the habs.
