They'll never get the value they want for him because no one will pay for a guy that's shown nothing at the NHL level. So, it'll never happen, but I'm sure the Rags would love to deal him for an upgrade.

Lafrenière for Kotkaniemi ? About the same value and the same production.

They want an upgrade though and are banking on residual 1OA value that doesn't exist. Unless they add big, but doubt even then Lafreniere can be the centerpiece.

Let me tell you about this guy named Zadina... see here, He's gonna fill nets with pucks. Said so himself. I guess you could have this puck filler of nets for the low price of Lafreniere!

-Yzerman probably.

why teams rush kids up is beyond me . yes some times it works , but nobody knows how many times it has messed players up and ide bet its lots . mean while theres no harm in not bringing them up until age 21

Going back to dominate the Q again would have done nothing for his development either. Too young to play in the AHL. Where do you send him?

the one place i surely dont send him is amongst fully physically developed adult greatest hockey players on earth types until he himself is physically mature . might you understand the reason for that ?

Habs fans have to be vibrating in their chairs with excitement at the possiblity. lol.
Laf is a bust, don’t want him. I’d begrudgingly give a 2nd round pick to gamble on like the 10% chance he becomes a top-6 player. I see him as most likely a career 3rd liner at best.

So the Rangers are willing to trade Lafreniere for someone that Lafreniere was projected to be. Slow down, let me write this down.

Not that they would admit it but staple doesn’t BS. Was probably told no by someone in organization. That being said, everyone has a price.
Not actively shopping him but GMs have a responsibility to pick up the phone and listen
