FINAL UPDATE:

Nope, I do not miss Strome.

We didn't miss a beat without him out there, and, actually, as expected, Panarin actually looked better out there without him. Even more so considering he was playing with No Hands Hunt on the other side.

That one sequence towards the end where Copp made a great battling play to win a puck and then 5 seconds later made a brilliant read to intercept a pass - Strome would never.

With the way our team is built, we can absolutely win with a guy like Copp as our 2C. I've seen enough.
There is no doubt Copp Is a much better overall player. Especially for this kind of a close game. It's just gonna come down to how much money he wants.

Minor nitpick here, but thread title leads me to believe we played the Ducks tonight. Wouldn't Snow Fowl or Antarctic Fowl be more apropos?
Penguins are in their own order, Sphensiciformes. The closest related order is Procellariformes, the "tubenoses" (petrels and albatross, pelagic seabirds). "Fowl," as in chickens (Galliformes) and ducks/geese (Anseriformes), are in their own superorder, Galloanserae.

Im a marine biologist, so it irks me a lot.

It's been too long to have a game where you feel that way. Way too long.

Got a few more on the way in May.

Easily the 2nd best team in the Metro and they get to prove it against Carolina coming up in the next few weeks to see who is the best.

Control their own destiny for everything, whether that is home ice in round 1 or the division.

It's crunch time and they're beating the teams making the dance. Team is for real, and everyone else needs to understand.

Well....the more you know!

Really impressive win. Team win.

Voted for Kreider, Copp, and Trouba but could have picked others as well. Shesty came up big when called upon.

Copp, Motte, and Vatrano have been truly game-changing additions.
To add three guys like that and to only give up draft picks two of which are 4th rounders (no offense to Barron) is terrific stuff by CD.
Vatrano has been visible every game. Looks dangerous.

Copp and Motte should just stay out there for the full 2 minutes on the PK.

Motte in particular is a phenomenal PK'er.
Motte is fantastic with his stick and speed and anticipation to create pressure and turn it into turnovers. He has a bit of Hagelin to his PK style IMO but maybe even better in the D zone on the PK because he does a really good job of swarming a player at the slightest hint of a mishandle. He's really a fantastic PKer.

Reaves really sucks man. I wish he didn't. I really like him as a guy. But f*** he's so slow and useless. Brod and Motte had to work twice as hard to get anything going with him on the ice
True. I don't anticipate he will play much if everyone is healthy though so I'm not too concerned.
