Kinda shocking to me how many saw and knew this game was over after 5 minutes.

We've seen these kind of games. We know how they go down. A shame.

This is just not true. Already forgot how they overcame deficiencies in both goals and games versus both pens and canes?

I didn't forget thoese. Many of those games, the team didn't have the flatness, the nervousness.

They didn't have the spark whatsoever yesterday.

Easy? No. But this game gave be terrible deja vu of 2015 ECF Game 7 where our entire team no showed on home ice with the worst effort I saw in a playoff.

I expected Tampa to wake up, the problem is we folded with a 2 goal lead and should be going back 3-1 instead of 2-2.

The only comfort is this team plays well when they back themselves in a corner.

Blowing Game 3 is really coming back to haunt them. If they’ve lost Chytil and Strome that’s going to be a huge mountain to climb.

This team seems to play well when their backs are against the wall, so I expect a good effort Game 6.

Goodrow has no business on the second line. Leave the fourth line alone, unless Blais is ready. Second line hasn't been great anyway so putting Hunt there isn't messing with anything.

That is literally a preseason NHL lineup.

Definitely understand the negativity. Play has decidedly swung Tampa's way and they have the track record to back it up.

NYR getting some key injuries at the wrong time.

Tampa is working the refs hard, if you thought Pens/Canes got away with a lot Tampa is saying hold my beer. Playing the NHL's ridiculous game management system like a fiddle.

That said. Big picture. 2-2 series with 2 out of the 3 remaining at MSG. NYR need to find a way to swing the pendulum back. Igor going full on lights out is the most realistic way I can see that they do that. Probably an unfair thing to even put out there, but that is a path I can see to NYR winning this series.

The Rangers being outplayed and Shesterkin saving their bacon has been a thing all year, why would it stop against the defending champs?

The roster needs changes though. Something is broken. No first round pick stings.

I love the kid and want to see him succeed but I flipped my shit when he did that last night! Everytime he gets it he slows down and waits just long enough to do something to allow the other team to make a defensive play when he usually has an open look or open ice to skate into, you’re not on the bigger ice anymore I would think by now that would’ve sunk in, very disheartening after seeing the potential pre draft

One thing that kinda bothers me and has for a while is that a lot of our guys seem to need a security blanket to perform as expected so when we try to shake things up it usually ends up looking even worse

Kreider wasn’t very visible but once he was moved away from Mika he somehow became more invisible, Panarin needs his buddy Strome and even then doesn’t always produce as expected, I get having a level of comfort and familiarity with other players but this game isn’t rocket science and if you can’t figure it out without your safety net there to catch you then you’re in trouble

Neither team can win on the road this series, or so I hope. This will go to Game 7, but Rangers need Strome and Chytl back, otherwise this series looks very bleak for the Rangers. Lack of depth kills come this time of year.

Part of their struggles down there has been that Cooper has been matching their checking line against the Zibanajed line. GG needs to find a way to get away from that matchup and has an easier opportunity to do so in NY. Hopefully that will open up the offense a bit.

Agree but they are a young team. Cant' expect them to have the killer instinct of a championship team yet.
