Further proof of why when you have a champion down you need the killer instinct. This team will be looking back and game three wondering what they did to themselves.

Look at a real team like the Avalanche. f***ing amazing how they play. Balls to the wall every goddamn shift even when up in a series 3-0.

That all starts with MacKinnon arguably the best player on the planet, but his mentality is what sets him apart and that bleeds into his teammates. They follow his lead.

Our ‘captain’ looks like an autistic deer in headlights.

A plate of humble pie for the folks calling the series over after 2. Rangers are learning the hard way about that secret extra gear you need to win in the playoffs.

Personally think the Rangers are in genuine trouble, but they have proved me wrong before. Still got a ton of playoff education, so that's something to be glad about.
I have to agree. Injuries hitting too at a really bad time. This has the makings of a really ugly end to what was an otherwise incredible run. I'm still proud of what this group accomplished, win or lose.

Still, you have to believe. Less likely stuff has happened before in this game.

Strome was a big loss, as expected. Team hasn't looked the same since he's been out of the lineup.
I thought right from the start today it didn't make sense to disrupt two lines with strome out. I thought they should've left the 4th line intact and just put hunt on the line with copp and panarin. What they did moving Goodrow basically made two lines less effective tonight.

Also I'm really looking forward to all those posts again arguing about how Tampa cant handle the rangers speed or skate with them. Those were funny this afternoon and are golden tonight.
LOL! Did they handle our speed in Games 1 or 2? We lost only because we didn't bring it tonight. We weren't sharp. It was a sloppy game. It had nothing to do with what Tampa did. We will be playing catch me if you can once again in Game 5.

And even when we win this series, I'm not gonna gloat, cause bottom line,... all that matters is hoisting the Cup. And our odds of that are slim to none. We are not gonna win in the thin air up in Colorado. Besides playing the best team in the NHL, we have to play in the worst arena there is for us to visit. We haven't won there in 5 years. Granted, it was only 4 games. But we were out scored 16-6.

Agree 100%. Should have left the 4th line alone. That line with Rooney on there gave up an early goal and, well, that allowed Tampa to play their "muddy up the neutral zone" game for really close to 2 1/2 periods. That's how they've won Cups.

Should have gone Hunt, like you said, or Gauthier line 2, with all else staying the same. Rooney and Reaves together cannot happen again. Preferably both don't happen again, but I don't see Gallant taking Reaves out at this juncture and center injuries may keep Rooney in there.

Gallant having a grand ol time at the post game presser, laughing etc.

I know he’s like this, but not what I want to see after a performance like that.

Sometimes I can’t stand his decision making, but at this point I don’t care how he reacts in front of the press. He’s not going to show his emotions, but he clearly does to the team, or they wouldn’t be here.
