Because, getting the puck to an open teammate in bang-bang situation like that, IS the correct play. If Nash gets it up the boards, it is a non issue.
What does his age have to do with it? Because he is still a young player learning the hardest position in the sport to learn. Nash on the otherhand, is supposed to be a veteran leader that should have his intensity level up a notch from non-existant.
Moore "surprised" Nash. And at this point of the season, Nash shouldn't be getting "surprised".
It was a risky play but he did hit Nash on the tape. Should have either tied it up or moved it along the boards but the execution was fine, even if the idea was flawed. Nash clearly wasn't ready to receive the pass, because he had no idea it was coming, but it took two guys screwing up there.
Still, that's the type of play that no one usually notices but since it lead to a goal, it's going to be over-evaluated.
All of that is meaningless since that was a horrendous pass by Moore.

Watch the replay again. It wasnt.
He played a nice soft short pass to Nash who was not defended. The pass wasnt handled cleanly and it was deflected to Nino who was open.
To say it's all on Moore is just not fair.
To make it worse...cally just scored
