Beuke did a terrible job guys. He's the one who lost smith and skjei on the bench plenty. He's the one sending guys over the boards with mins ticking off the clock. AV head coach so he's ultimately responsible but Beuke cost us games last year big games with his horrible management.
Trusted his vets more than better players. Glad he's gone.
Ruff will be an upgrade for sure I'm just surprised AV ok with it.

I actually like this..always felt like ruff in buffalo has a very active and engaged defense...hoping that means less staal and more skjei

I think got caught trusting names on sweaters as opposed to what was actually going on in game. He did a horrible job with his rotations

Well brooks said they wanted more experience so ruff definitely has that over beuk. I was not happy with the defensive deployment last year, especially during playoff games. Ruff already has more to work with and it's not even july.

I'm cool with Ruff if he becomes the "bad cop" coach. Somebody needs to get on these players occasionally.

Buffalo also had a stable of excellent defensive forwards. This team needs better D from all positions, not just the D-men. That is especially true now that Stepan and Lindberg are out.
Hayes and Miller need to become three zone players.

No, I have it under good authority he took the job under the proviso that he has to pick a card out of the suggestion box provided by those of us here at HF between each period. Beukeboom would still be coaching if he had done that.

Probably unrelated, but you'd think the Rangers would have had a better idea of what to expect from him after being in the AHL with Gernander. Perhaps Beuks inability showed a light on Gernanders inability?

Yeah that's kinda what happens when people have opinions. They tend to like, or not like things. Just short of trading for or drafting Auston McCrosby, what event is everyone going to universally like when it comes to signings, trades, and drafts?
