Appears as if Beukeboom will join scouting staff. Rangers wanted more experience behind that end of bench. Vigneault has met with Ruff.

We are going through defensive coaches pretty rapidly now. Ruff was a real tough dude. Hope this move helps our team. He was a pretty good coach in his own right. Is he friends with AV?

Exactly, this is a terrifying prospect.

Ruff is a guy who would consistently randomly drop Seguin down the lines, play Spezza on the 4th line so he could play Eakin/Roussel with Benn. He played Korpikoski with Seguin and/or Benn a bunch. He's horrible at managing the lines. Worse than AV by a wide margin.
