There has to be someone available to sign or almost free in a trade that could bring the leadership and grit of a McLeod while also having some NHL level skill and skating ability.
Couldn't Belesky, who is already signed, fill this same role and be better than McLeod?
Even if you look at it as a lost year anyway, it still is not a good thing.
A rookie coach like Quinn could develop the habit of being comfortable with a player like McLeod on his 4th lines instead of running 4 skilled lines.
Well, you can't play 19-year olds 20 minutes a game. That's how Buffalo and Edmonton destroyed their prospects
Tanner Glass would have been better, at least he can kill penalties and win a fight.
And yeah as others have said, why not just play Beleskey?
Loved that guy, wears on the opposition like a recurring rashBobby Farnham was at least fun to watch when he was here for preseason. Much rather have someone like that than a slug who can't skate.
Are you ******* kidding me? This just justifies what some posters have been saying
I see your point but I don't see how Cody McLeod solves that problem in a sensible way.
Why not? He could totally agree with the old school thinking of needing to have a gritty vet who will drop the gloves in the lineup to protect the kids.Oh come on.
Cody McLeod is not going to alter the way David Quinn puts together a lineup.
