IMO Trouba is still better than Fowler. Trouba does suck defensively but he is a menace to play against (good for a massive hit once every three weeks) and decent on the PK. Fowler at this point just sucks defensively and doesn't bring much else to the table.

I could maybe see Trouba waiving his NTC closer to the TDL as it would only be a few months away from his family versus a whole season (had he waived this offseason), but I doubt he'd agree to that now and I'm sure he was able to structure his NTC to make it very difficult to move him.

I find it hard to believe the Rangers move Kreider. His contract is manageable even as his play begins to drop. He's a career 30 goal pace scorer that brings a dimension that many teams are missing or need more of.

Slowed down TREMENDOUSLY. Injuries have taken a toll on him. He's a warrior and a character guy, but he's a liability out there. He could be a decent third-pair defensive defenseman.

The Avs had interest in Kreider previously, and if I remember correctly were in talks to trade for him until the Rangers decided to re-sign him instead. Wonder if they take a look again, though their depth is predominantly at wing (when everyone is healthy).
