It’s amazing how all the Critics are saying we would be lucky to get a first round pick.
This guy has been nothing but money for 2 years in a row. I hope they bring him back next year no matter where he goes.

I agree. A lot of mine is done in jest. But at the same time, if you’re gonna have the long bleached undercut hair and be known as a DJ in the off season, you probably expect to get more attention. He wants to be flashy off the ice but his game isn’t backing it up these past 20 games or so.

If I google him from my phone the first result literally says “Swedish DJ” and don’t even mention hockey.

My post wasn't referring to yours, I found your post funny lol. It was in reference to people asking where's Mika every game
He had an injury and then both of his linemates got injured. It's been a rough season for everybody but before all this he was playing at a PPG pace over 20 games in. He is defensively responsible, kills penalties, has an amazing shot, great at face-offs, great in the shootout, is a good skater, is fairly physical. I don't get the hate for him and he's usually one of our best players on the ice imo

Thats because the NHL is terrible when it comes to exposure. I bet people know him better as a DJ more then a Hockey player.

Personally, even if we got Sergachev, I think that Skjei, Sergachev and Shattenkirk are all 2nd pair guys, ADA, Pionk, Staal, Smith, Gilmour shouldn’t be higher than the bottom pair. One of ADA/Pionk could have second pair potential but I wouldn’t count on it. More likely ADA plays extra minutes as a heavy PP use guy. I think ADA/Shattenkirk/Pionk is a horrible trio on the right side and Sergachev/Skjei/Staal is better but not great. I don’t think people realize how sheltered Sergachev has been.

Moreover, since we won’t be getting him, it’s a moot point and the defense going forward is gonna be in rough shape.

I think that’s very optimistic for ADA but that’s still realistic overall. Point is that’s not looking great and Pionk/Shattenkirk would be a terrible pairing most likely as well. Plus we probably won’t give Shattenkirk bottom pair minutes with his salary. So our defense is gonna suck.

After checking the standings I could honestly see the Rangers finishing in the 7th or 8th spot in the draft. Take the trade deadline and schedule it is possible that Florida—4 games in hand,Detroit, and possible Chicago passing us. I don’t think Montreal has a chance down by 7 points. That places us 7th overall. I don’t know what % that gives us but other then last year trade when have we picked that high—it’s been a while.

You guys clearly don't know how Wikipedia works.

You’re missing the point and it’s not even one that I’m trying to argue vehemently but, when a player is going to be very public about having divided attention and a flashy off ice lifestyle, his play is always going to end up being looked at under the microscope of divided attention. If Lundqvist’s game had fallen apart when he started getting involved in restaurant ownership or casual fashion shoots people would have questioned his on ice commitment. If Subban wasn’t consistently having all star seasons people would wonder if all of his off ice videos and charity work were distracting him from his job. I’m not making any statements about Z. I’m simply saying he opened himself up to these types questions.
