Even all of that wouldn't have sucked as much if the game ****ing winning goal wasn't a missed shot that slowly crept through Hank. :shakehead

yep, totally agreed, crazy game

regarding Richards, i'll repost this here.

The issue with Richards right now is 100% mental. What is he doing? stupid plays. blind passes, terrible high risk plays that are getting picked off and going against the other way. It's all decision making stupidity. He's not super slow and can't do anything out there, he's skating at his usual pace. His shot hasn't completely disappeared, he just has zero confidence in it right now.

it's between his ears, he's a professional, he'll figure it out, or he'll get eaten up by NY...i choose to be optimistic here.

no he's at the bottom of the list. However, is it asking too much to have your vezina superstar goalie not look like a bad echl backup on that first shootout goal? I'm not sure about the second, i guess it's hard to make a save when a guy does something he didn't mean to do. still we would have had as good of a chance with biron in the shootout today.

lol!

A postitive point which i dont know how long it will last is that were in the 8th spot with mostly less games played than the teams above us and all the teams below us have the equal amount of games played or more played with less points...LGRRRR!!!!!!!!!!! even though the team sucks this year.

I just have to say that Gaborik is turning in the effort. A couple of games ago the puck was not lying on his stick right, bad pass, bouncing puck - whatever - but I thought tonight he would bury one or two.

Sigh.

Hope so, and if Gabby buries that shot in ot, Richards would have been the guy with the primary assist who put the puck right on his stick. The shot in the shootout however :shakehead.

I personally will be shocked if torts is fired, I don't see this team missing the playoffs, but even if they do this season, you HAVE to give Torts a full training camp, if part way through next season you feel it is not working out then try to make a change maybe...

all those that want a coaching change, who do you want to coach them? I really want to know who is around/available that could do a better job than torts in the past few years and this year with so many new guys, a number of injuries, a short camp, and very few practices.

The issue with the entire team is mental. Maybe last year got to their heads. There is just something missing this year. They were underdogs with a lot to prove last year. Maybe they cant handle the pressure of being a Cup favorite. Games like this last year we all knew we would end up winning in the end because of the adversity of the team. This year, no idea. Coaching obviously isnt helping either.

Until Tortorella figures out this team is not built for dump and chase hockey, stops playing prevent defense when we have the lead, and starts to make in game adjustments, we'll never see the best of this team :/

At least gabby shot it at the goalie...lol..Richards didnt deke and he missed the net completely. Maybe something is wrong with him he isnt playing well at all.

This is one of those games where I'd normally point out that we should won 3-2 in regulation, if not for that bone headed referee whistle negating our first goal early in the third period. When the puck was clearly clearly loose and banging around everywhere.

Then I remind myself that we didn't deserve to win at all.

Tortortella would be FINE, if he would adjust his stupid system that doesnt work.

Of all the benny hill type moments that the rangers churned out tonight, the moment that bothers me most is the quick whistle. That was just brutal.

I had to watch without the sound on - why was our first goal disallowed? Wasn't the Boyle penalty a weak call?

ref blew whistle...real quick whistle

I never even saw the penalty on boyle, but even if it was weak you have to be very cautious at that stage in the game just going up by 1.

apparently rebounds arent allowed... Also, the guy from BEHIND the net (who couldnt even see the puck) is the one who blew the quick whistle.

There truly should be a challenge allowed on goals.

Anybody in minor hockey would know that the ref robbed the Rangers of their first goal.
Why does the NHL not care enough about integrity? Look at the icing in Montreal that led to the goal.
The NHL is so bush, so poor at implementing true quality control.

5-2-2 in February, but the four losses have been frustrating this month.

Not getting anything past Marty, and wasting pp.
Blowing 2-0 to the Isle, lose in the SO.
Doing nothing vs Montreal.
Tonight losing to a team with great players hurt, and having so many chances to win.
