I thought it was obvious that was happening. Sucks for him because there’s so much competition, but also sucks for the Sabres as it appears to be another blown early pick. That being said, they shoulda picked my boy Samuel Helenius instead.

At this point, do the guy a favour and trade him to another team that doesn’t have as many prospects.

And final thought, hopefully Poltapov also works out, or I’ll be pissed by the fact that this organization passed on Doan (4 picks later) and Helenius (6 picks later) in that draft. And Knies went two picks before Helenius but I didn’t want to draft him.

It was a bad pick especially when we needed defense and Kisakov was not even a player who dropped down the board at the time.
They should honestly trade the kid for future considerations or whatever and let him get a shot somewhere else.

Would be the decent thing to do
Can't he get playing time int he ECHL? I don't know how the two leagues work together but it seems like a possibility?

Kisakov is one of their most prickly players, pointy and stick mean. But he clearly isn't doing what they want in preparation to get into the lineup regularly. Flip side of the way Neuchev has taken the coaching and puts in the work.

Have not seen enough of him so I will take your word for it. But I would like to see some of the hard truth doled out to those in the current NHL lineup. Hey play this way or get your insurance license.

He will give people the stick behind the play or at stoppages. The hand skills are amazing, but he's still a stick compared to others and not enough of a shift disturber to make it worthwhile in that role. So it comes across as being petulant a bit rather than a deliberate strategy to upset players on the other team.
