Going to throw this in here. Have to think it'll be a Rangers home game. Devils got a home game a Yankee Stadium last time. This could balance that out.

If it is a home game, do you think our invoices that we just received will cover this? I doubt it very much. The increase might be a bit more that what was thought.

If it is a Devils home game, it'll be interesting to see how many tickets the Rangers get. MetLife holds 80K. Have to think they'd cover all full and half subscriber numbers?

I thought Rangers were prohibited from having home games outside of MSG. And yes, if Rangers subscribers could buy tickets to the Stadium Series at Yankee Stadium, they'll get plenty of opportunity for MetLife.

That's my understanding too. It wouldn't be part of the STH package anyway but we'll have a billion presales. I have zero interest.

Yeah, the seats are awful and a mile from the rink. It was a horribly cold day (vs. NJ) and while it was an experience, it's not something I look forward to doing again. lol

So this is probably a stupid question, but I’m assuming refunds for the playoffs if the Rangers don’t win the cup in all 7-game series can be rolled over to next year, right?

And if I pay for next year in full, I can get a refund?

My season ticket - 222 upper rows- went up $200.

I am about 15 rows down from the top. These are this year's playoff prices.

First round = 160 per game
Second round =200 per
Third round = 265 per
Finals = 500 per game!!

You pay round by round and get refunded for unplayed games.

Great advice. Whenever I think of relocating I always try to go to the section / rows where I would consider doing so. The west balcony / bridge seats do take some getting used to and as I mentioned, it honestly took a few games before I appreciated their value, so would recommend even sitting up there for a game or two, if possible.

Rumor has it renewal invoices will be sent next week. I usually don't renew with a chase card since I only get 1% back versus 2% which adds up to like an extra 100 bucks a year. But I missed out on some of the chase rewards in past years (the one this year really po'd me since the event had some great players). Are you able to just pay the deposit with a Chase card to get the reward, or does every payment need to be made with a Chase card?

FWIW, I asked my rep about this and was told “Yes, you only have to renew with a Chase card” to qualify for all of the stuff. I phrased it specifically about first payment being Chase and switching cards after so that’s what I’m going to do.

Did the rep say you can make only the first payment with Chase?

If so, I'll just ask my dad to use his card for this first payment, and then I'll pay the rest with my Amex.

I have no interest in getting another credit card just for this.

3% price increase in section 105 - $14,729 per seat vs, $14,300 per seat this year.

My playoff price increases are all over the place:
Round 1 +2.3%
Round 2 +13.2%
Round 3 +7.2%
Round 4 +1.9%

My exact wording was asking about paying with a Chase card for first payment and switching cards and she replied yes you just need to renew with a Chase card. I take that to mean it just has to be first payment but who knows.

As someone that has sat on that level for multiple seasons now, it is the best view you can have of the game. The only thing that can get you is when the puck flutters, either on a high flip or off a rebound. You see everything, even the board battles are easier to see.

Not trying to jinx you, but knowing my two reps over 4 seasons so far, I’d say they are within one, maximum, of the lowest decision making tier within the halls of MSG. Hope you have what they promised in writing,,,

Will not be a Rangers home game. End of story. However both Devils and Rangers season ticket holders will get first crack at tickets.

Not sure if you're loaded, but the Rangers offer the 10 month payment plan which doesn't have any cost. With interest rates relatively high right now, you could open a free account with something like Marcus Goldman and earn like 4% on that money.

400s row 7 are $2062 for next year so just about $47 a ticket... Up from $43.50 this season.
200 attack 2x corner $2878 so $112.50 a ticket.

I just prefer to get it over with in one shot so I don’t have to see my bank account balance dropping a lot every month from huge recurring bills.

Maybe not the best finance strategy, but it’s more of a peace of mind thing that I never have to think about it again once I pay for it.

Obviously with other things like rent and car payments I don’t do that.

Yea I get it and respect that. But if you can stomach it, will reduce your cost a bit :) I’m always trying to find little ways to try and shave a bit off the cost since we’re already paying out the ass 😂

I believe that is IN the state of NY. In 92-93 and 93-94 they played 2 neutral site games and were the designated home team in one. So, I think the Rangers could be the home team, but I would prefer them to be the road team. Still get 41 home games, 40 road games, and a neutral.

I have spoken to someone who has been to a few Outdoor games in both football and baseball stadiums. Said the sightlines are MUCH better in the football stadiums.

Maybe so, but you're still talking about the first row of seats being almost 100 feet from the rink. And that's close to field level where you'll have a hard time seeing the action over the boards. I sat in the first row of the upper level at Yankee Stadium and I could see everything. But it was still far away and we froze our butts off. I had a good time but I'll pass on MetLife. Happy to hook anyone up who wants tickets...but I'd be willing to wager you can get tickets cheaper on the secondary market considering the capacity of the stadium.
