Weird. When I search games by New York Rangers or Rangers nothing comes up.

Hey GG,

Any idea about 1099 for TicketExchange?

I know the 20k/200 for stubhub/paypal, however every few months I look and I never see anything on TE.

Figured if anyone would know it would be you.

Thanks

That's an IRS requirement for all businesses who have clients with 20k in sales and 200+ transactions. So if you did that much on TE alone they would need to issue the 1099K. I'm not sure how the businesses are structured at ticketmaster if ticketsnow is a separate entity from ticketmaster+, because then you might not go over the threshold if you divided your sales between them. If you sell on different marketplaces they don't talk to eachother so 10/100 on stubhub and 10/100 on TE won't trigger the filing.

But either way you should be reporting all your net profits you never know when you'll get audited. Also keep in mind that it's a 1099K not a 1099. A 1099 is basically income and a 1099K is like a cash flow statement. When the IRS matches up your file they will look to see that you reported at least that much revenue on your schedule C and you take all your deductions from there including your COGS and commissions

How are round 2 sales going? I don't expect these to be high at all.

I sold my game 4 for $500 before fees on stub hub for the pair, id rather sell some games in round 2 to pay for round 3, i was at game 6 for round 1 and it'll be hard to match that vs ottawa think if we win the series round 3 will be even crazier

and i sort of agree with that last statement.

I'm considering it for game 5. 8 hour drive. Did that to Pittsburgh the day of game 4 in '15 when Hayes got the OT winner. Not bad at all.

I've mulled it over with a few friends. We're probably passing on game 2 because of the early start though we're keeping game 5 in mind but that's probably going to be an afternoon game too which sucks. NBC has a night slot for a game that day because of the Kentucky Derby which will obviously be Pens - Caps unless it somehow ends in 4.

The people who printed all their tickets when MSG screwed up are screwing everyone else because stubhub is expecting people to have their tickets in hand already since they see all those instant download tickets. I should have downloaded them all too but I'm thinking there's going to be a lot of problem orders and somebody up the ranks at stubhub is going to be like WTF is going on

also, ticketmaster isn't enforcing any restrictions, people can print home game 1 already

Sold game 1 series 2 on SH.

Game is played May 2. Per SH, I need to deliver the tickets by April 30.

Will I have a problem?

use a VPN and you'll be fine.

I bet they blanket block many ports. You probably want a VPN on port 80 and even then they might have a whole blacklist of VPN IP's. I've also heard that Chinese airport security will often load monitoring devices onto your laptop's hardware/software when you go through security. A lof of business people in high positions will bring a burner laptop with no sensitive information on it and dispose of it after the trip

I didnt get a charge yet to my chase CC or anything coming off my seller credit on the ticket exchange balance.

The pending charge showed up on my pending charges yesterday. 3 games at the expected prices

When we have people go to China, they always bring a burner laptop.
You can use a VPN on your phone or computer when you get there and remote into a computer here.

I've been to China before and they didn't do anything to my laptop (Beijing). I'll be in Hangzhou this time around. From what I understand they have been cracking down on vpns recently though the vpns at least claim the crackdown hasn't impacted them. Regardless I'll be in China without a visa (TWOV program) and don't want to burn that bridge if I don't have to.

Anyway, that doesn't really answer my question. Do I even need a vpn to access stubhub or ticketmaster? From what I recall last time, most sites were ok.

Hopefully I'll need to worry about it. :)
