A lot depends on how many games they play. We've seen the fatigue in the past by round 3 but take 2015 for example. They played 3 home games in round 1, 4 in round 2, and 4 more in round 3. The year prior they played 4 home games in round 1, 3 in round 2, 3 in round 3, 2 more in round 4.

This year they're already capped at a max of 3 in almost every round. If one of the series ends in 5 or less, only 2 that round.

The plan member FV prices were much lower in those past years.

Sounds like this is the year the Rangers tried to close the gap between face value and the secondary market. Which I get. What I don't like is that they are--from the sound of things--holding back inventory, messing with the buyer's perception of things.

for the first time in my life I have absolutely no interest in going to any of these playoff games...these prices are obscene and MSG has totally shown their unprecedented greed....$450 a pair to sit in section 400's are you friggin kidding me...I really cannot see any fool paying this for a first round game

I don't see where tix are $450 for the 400's. For game one there is one pair of seats together in section 118 for $450 each. You can get single tix in the 400s for $160 per plus fees. Also activate verified resale tix and you have many more options. 200's for $200 apiece.

Tailgunner was not far off if you add the fees. As example a $178 ticket comes to $207 with fees in round 1. Same ticket comes to $268 for round 2. Example is for 224 row 20

Gotchya. It's actually $450 a pair. That makes sense.

I think the secondary market is in for a surprise...not convinced people are going to pay these extortion prices for a hockey game you could watch on tv...especially this sunday which is easter sunday...I will be home with a nice IPA watching on tv

The Rangers are playing with fire...charging this much for a first round series is really pushing the envelope...if this team does not advance past the first round I think we will have reached a pricing bubble. These prices are not realistic and will only hold up in the marketplace only if this club is a perennial cup contender

Right now, they are trying to sell Montreal. Original 6, they'll build the drama that way. More casual fan will be interested than normal because of the PO + O6.

With the chance that Round 2 could be Boston, they couldn't change less. If it is the Sens, look out. The market would completely crash. STH would have the leverage over the team because of their discounted face values. They'd be forced to lower the ticket on ticketmaster in order to sell, or have brokers buy everything and sell at a lower rate.

I wouldn't purchase a single Round 2 ticket through ticketmaster until it's known who they play in Round 2 (if they make it).

Definitely right with round two.. I don't remember ever seeing whole rows wide open, let alone almost 24 hours after a playoff game has been onsale.

It's a risk, but if you firmly believe that they'll make the 2nd round and face Ottawa, you should sell your tickets right now if you do not plan on going. Make a few bucks off of the tickets.

You'd lose out if it was Boston, but how much? Better than a negative if you don't plan on being in attendance.

Is that $345 US?

looks like Canadian, so $259 USD each for obstructed nosebleeds. Lowers behind the goals are $435 USD

I passed, tickets are cheaper on stubhub. If you have Maple Leafs seasons (ie if you've had tickets willed down to you from your father, grandfather, grandfather's father, etc... ) then you basically own a money printing press.

Canadiens are a different story, you could have bought in over the years. Heck, you could even have BOUGHT THE WHOLE TEAM lol which is what a guy did and resold it to the Molson family a few years later for tens (hundreds?) of millions more

I'm on the list for Cubs tickets for a few years now I'm number 92,000 lol

Curious to see what the secondary market looks like Sunday afternoon for G1, given it's Easter. I imagine some fans bought tix hoping their wives would be okay with it, but are going to get a big fat "Hell no you're going to the in-laws"

Depends on your location but my seats for the 1st round are about the same price as last years after the 10% discount.

They are talking about TM prices rangers charge not what you or full STHs prices

Good call by whoever said the onsale having no tickets left was a scare tactic. Tons of 400's available for home games 1 and 2. Looks like they had them available for the presales, pulled them back at the onsale, then threw them back out there.

lowered the prices to 155 for obstructed view seats now lol nobody is buying them ton of them left

Not to mention, but the prices for those tickets are higher than what they were on Monday. The 400s were 160, now 175. The upper 200's corners were 170, now 179. Kind of surprised that those aren't going, specifically for game 4.

They are really doubling down on this. I know prices are high on the secondary market, but adding in fees and you're really killing their own market right now. You're going to force people to buy resale tickets before they buy your tickets.

Checked game 3 and there are tons of seats on the bridge, but they increased them by $15. They were 230, now 245. Add in fees. You're looking at $279 per ticket.
