Which has higher fees, ticketsnow or stubhub? It seems that ticketsnow has cheaper tickets for game 5. I know they take out 10% when the tickets are sold though. I use ticketsnow to sell because its just simple with the ticket exchange.

I think stubhub. At least for this round. I posted on stubhub at 215. Buyer saw 227.75, they sold and I received 182.75 each.

On The ticket exchange (or whatever it is called). I posted at 225. Buyer saw 270 and I would have received 202.50 each.

Ticketsnow takes 10% from what you list, but they tack 20% on to the buyer. Stubhub takes 15% from what you list, but they add less to the buyer.

TicketsNow I believe is 18.5% from the buyer to be exact unless they changed it and I haven't been paying attention. StubHub changes their buyer fees when they feel like it. Basically when the event gets closer and they want more tickets to move they'll change it. I sold tix for the game in Jersey in March and noticed one day that mine and everyone elses listings dropped by $10 though the list price stayed the same. Think after they lowered it, my tickets were $124.50 for the buyer to see when I had them listed at $120.

ticketsnow or tm+ or whatever they call it, is 20%.

lol, trying to make new friends?

Haha looking to recoup my round one costs if this goes to 7, or part of deeper rounds if we go on

As much as I hate Noon games on Sunday, it makes it A LOT easier to stomach selling those games since rolling out of bed, eating brunch and watching the game is fun. Plus no trek to the city from LI on sunday.

The AVG ticket price is increasing daily and the # avail keeps going down.

50 tickets sold in the last hour on stubhub. Could be under 2000 avail by the end of day, which would be awesome for prices this weekend.

I have 6 seats on my account and the amount of people asking me tickets is insane. I have a list of people who buy games from me when I cant go and I have gotten more requests this series than ever before. After the Rangers beat the Flyers I wonder if the Blue Jackets or Penguins would be a more appealing matchup which I never thought I would have said before about Columbus.

To the layman fan (which is causing these astronomical prices) the Penguins easily.

The fan in me wants CBJ, the business man in me wants Pitt. Conflicted haha.

If I could choose, I'd go with CBJ though.

Any speculations on dates when Round II starts and ends? (trying to plan some travel while being prepared for any potential home games.. without jinxing it, I hope)
Cheers

Hard to know...we could win in 5 but CBJ/Pitt could go 7. Latest it could start would be next Friday or Saturday.

Looking at 2011-2012 dates it seems each round is exactly 2 weeks with 2 days in between rounds
That would put Round II this year May 2 - May 16

We'll know next week in any case

But with Columbus there is the potential for 4 home games. If you sold all 4, the extra game would make up the difference you would make on the Pittsburgh games.

I don't sell game 1's or 7's. But I do like where your head is at. :handclap:

Tickets are going strong today.

Looks there could be some last minute bargains for tomorrow. Prices have come down since yesterday with over 2k available. Funny how one loss changed the dynamic.

1 loss greatly changed the price on the secondary market, by about a 30-40 buck swing. Would have went the other way if we were up 3-1. Understandable, im not feeling excited or confident at all tomorrow....but ill be there.

If the Rangers don't put away the Flyers in 6 I wonder how high the market will be for a game 7. When the Rangers played Ottawa 2 seasons ago the market just went insane starting within minutes of their game 6 win. On the flipside game 1 against Washington was not a strong ticket pricewise.

Will be interesting with the quick turn around, games ends at 10 P.M. Tuesday night and game 7 is less than 24 hours away.

Who knows..the market is pretty fickle. Many thought last Sunday was going to be a blood bath but didn't happen. Yesterday Game 5 was going through the roof and now after the loss, it's looking like a blood bath.
