I guess you haven't been watching much lately if you're that upset that blackwell got an OT shift over Kakko. Again I would have liked to see him get a shift, but at the end of the day they won. You guys can bitch and moan about DQ's decisions all you want but he's coaching this team for the rest of the season and they won a game they needed to win.

He was good. Then he almost threw it all away in OT. Those were some braindead plays he made.

He's using the ones who play well. Miller led the team in TOI 5v5, Kakko led all forwards. Laf isn't effective yet, I don't see how this is so hard to understand. Rooney sticks out more than him for god's sake - you don't need a certain threshold of time to move your feet and be noticeable.

If you hired that hypothetical veteran coach, this would be every day instead of in the playoff chase.

Valiquette touched on this very briefly post-game. Development doesn't happen on teams that are playing meaningless games with 20 games left in the season. You have to want to win games. Throwing the kids out there and just giving them 16-18 minutes a night does nothing if the game isn't competitive. You think Mittelstadt and Cozens are going to develop into superstars in buffalo?

By the way quinn once was a young star dman. He clearly seems to be doing a good job there even if he needed Martin to teach them all how to defend

Then say what you mean - young players, star prospects, etc doesn't clearly mean forwards only.

Again, Kakko had more time than any other forward 5on5, and he led the team in high danger chances.
