Aaltonen wasn't in the lineup. Chmelař was -1 and had 12 PIM. Ragnarsson had his third assist in three games.

Yesterday Henriksson played and was -1.

watching Lindbum's career go down the shitter after every single one of us knew the pick sucked is kinda funny and i'm not sorry about it

Haha, but honestly, I saw that WJC U18 in which he was fantastic and was a bit excited when we picked him. Although, I am kind of a sucker for size on goalies and was a bit sceptical about getting a smaller goalie that high.

Ultimately, I think with the draft, the reality is that its a beast where you will end up with pics all across the scale from horrible picks, players that basically can't get a job in the hockey world after a few years after the org thought he could become a star in the NHL to the best player ever for your franchise in the 7th round (both have happened to us).

I don't think the key is to desperately try to avoid bad picks, perhaps you must be willing to gamble a bit to hit it out of the park, but to keep them to a minimum.

Tärnström was scoreless this morning and -1. 5 SOG.

Henriksson plays later. Rögle has a game but Edström is still injured.

Väisänen is playing in a bit.

Chmelař has a game, too. He needs to pick it up.

chances he is signed this summer if he has a big year and turn pro, or will he need at least 3 seasons in college hockey?

I think 3 and done should be the plan, even with a big year unless we're talking a Stepan level Sophomore season.

I believe he is WJC eligible again,
He may turn a strong sophomore and WJC into turning pro early,
but he has more physical development to gain,
and a 3rd season under Nate would likely bring more leadership role, too
With our current young Fs and pipeline, deferring his joining would help stretch their ELC years over longer time

His plan is to stay in college at least until his junior year as he thinks he isn't ready yet to make that jump. He is excited to re-connect with Ryan Martin once he does though.

I wouldn't think the Rangers rush to sign him. Who knows, though; if he has a killer year they could want to get him signed and playing professionally.

Zac Jones last year said he wasn't ready to turn pro and then right after that turned pro. Sometimes the prospect of being a professional player and earning a salary is too much to pass up.

Yeah, it's hard to pass up a contract worth up to $2.7m

And in Jones' case, he was paid $185,000 in just 3 months in signing bonuses alone.

Lest we forget what Miller's upside looks like..

I get that he hasn't been as good as Jones or Lundkvist in the pre-season, but he deserves the benefit of the doubt and to have a top4 spot to start the season. What he does with it will dictate what happens from there.
