In updating the first post, it's so nice to see so many actual prospects, and so many of them off to good starts.

Our only guys to not have payed this year are:

4 NCAA players: Barron, Miller, Huska and Wall (Nanne played over the weekend)
3 International players: Bernahrdt (injured indefinitely), Ragnarsson (out until November), Sjalin (should be back soon)
7 Professional players: Crawley, Leedahl, Nieves (out indefinitely), Pedrie, Ronning, Halverson, Nell

Leedahl, Halverson and Nell should play this weekend when the ECHL starts. Maine has a single game Saturday, then nothing until next weekend. I wouldn't totally rule out one of Crawley or Pedrie going down as well.

Barron's first game is the 26th, Miller is this weekend, Huska this weekend, and Wall this weekend.

I'll hunt for updates on the Euro guys. Bernhardt has a chronic condition, and is unsigned. Not sure if he's done or if he can make it back.

Any word if Wall will be the #1 this year or platooning to start?
From what I've read Christoffer Hernberg will be the #1 this year with Wall backing up, but getting some starts, as Hernberg is gone after this year (and if he plays well again probably gets a contract somewhere). Hernberg was voted the Team MVP last year and won a couple other awards, and is on the Mike Richter Award watch list list for for best goalie this year. So, barring some shaky play, Wall will have to fight for starts. He really f***ed himself with last year's performance.

Stinks. He had such a good freshman year.

Yeah, he was pretty good. UML's defense wasn't as good last season. Maybe it caused Wall some issues then he just let it get to him. Who knows.

Good thing is, if he can play well in whatever starts he gets this year (and in NCAA hockey the goalie situation can turn on a dime), he's definitely in line to be the starter his Senior year. He also was given the nod in the only formal exhibition UML played so maybe he's in line for more starts than what's being reported.

Any word where Morgan Barron will slot in Cornell's lineup this season?
Yates, Angello and Rauter, three of their four top forwards from last year are gone. Mitch Vanderlaan is still around. I would think he'll definitely be in a top six spot, he's definitely one of their key returning forwards.

I'd far from count on it, but if he could turn into our Duncan Keith that would be rather swell.

Heres the goal

That skating...

For comparison, Keith (also a semi-overager/July birthday) put up 60 points in 56 WHL games (as well as 9 points in 15 NCAA games) in his post-draft season.

Hehe, is it in Europe? An ejection is 20 PIMs in Europe. Since it’s an even number I would bet that he got tossed for yelling at the reff, no 5 major.

I know it's a misleading stat, but Keane is now a +54 over his last 69 regular season OHL games, to go along with 14 goals, 52 points and 69 PIM.

I think Keane is definitely propelling himself up a lot of lists and performing very well. Just need more time to decide how high I am willing to raise my expectations.

Two guys in the top 20 ain't bad

Surprised Adam Fox isn't higher on that list. I still think he will become Ranger property at some point in the next year

I’m not counting on it, either, but, I am on the hype train.

Just crossing the fingers that a bunch of these guys pan out so you have a group with something like

Skjei
Hajek
Rykov

DeAngelo
Keane
Pionk

Guys like Miller Lundkvist pushing for spots, etc

Still lacking an elite guy back there but lots of possibilities to put together a solid group
