A few more notes on today.

K’Andre Miller is every bit of 6’6. Physical freak. For those pointing at his upside as the best of our D list, I am buying that stock in bulk.

FWIW, Miller isn’t the only one with size. Fox is enormous, Robertson is another guy bigger than I expected (more than 6’4+). Add Hajek and those are 4 very skilled (large) defenders.

Edstrom is a tower at 6’7. And Probably too slow.

On the opposite end of the size spectrum, the diminutive Finnish wingers were both impressive - and quick AF.

More later.
According to lineups Fox is 5”11 and K’Andre is 6”4. Robertson is 6”3.

Fox is not a big guy, he's 5'11".

Maybe he meant Rykov?

K'Andre himself said that he's 6'5" now. Either way hes a big dude.

My error on Fox. I’ll figure out who the ef I was confusing there.

A few more notes as I look over the camp roster A-Z...

Aaltonen is definitely closer to 5’6 than 5’9. Don’t think it matters. Impressed with his speed, as I already mentioned he’s fast - almost as quick as Pajuniemi (who should be rising on the prospect list)

Speaking of rising, Barron looks like a player to me. Don’t know how close he is, but 6’4 215 with his skill will play at any level.

Huska is a bit like the walrus in the Geico commercial, helps to take up a good chunk of the net...

I can see why Zac Jones likes Torey Krug. Very heady player. Good feeling on him.

Nic Jones (born 96) North Dakota definitely looked comfortable early on - ripping one under the bar on Lindbom.

Kjellberg has a bad turnover that led to an easy 2 on 1 layup goal.

That’s all I got.

Pajuniemi looked to be a lock for the WJCs after the WJSS last year, but injuries de-railed his season a bit and he got lost in the shuffle.

He immediately proved to be a very good pick for us, and hopefully he gets back on track injury-free this year!

More importantly, did Shestyorkin being all of 6' impede his abilities? I remember being told a while back that being that short is a bad thing.

Thanks for this. And for everyone sharing the firsthand experience.

I confess to knowing essentially nothing about him, but could someone give me an assessment of Morgan Barron?

Thanks in advance.

In terms of frame, Barron should leach off Kreider for training regime.

IMO, both Barron and Keane can rank up there near Robertson - all 3 NHL players - all 3 (likely) outside our Top 10, and even 12.

Barron if he isn’t already will be a top 10 prospect for us by mid season. He really is shooting up the ranks. He’s Cornell’s best player. Heck of a steal for sure

exactly right...

and we talk about where would player x be in a 'redraft' - well Barron would be a Top 50 guy. Big value on that draft slot.

Seems like our scrimmage team plan is to put Kakko on an island against all the other good forwards in our system. At least they tried to balance the defense.
