As someone who goes to museums in every city he visits (internationally as well) I can tell you NYC is indeed special. DC is up there in that category as well.
Lots of cities have great things about them. Very few to none have as wide a range of great things about them as NYC. NONE that is home to an NHL team comes close. There’s a reason the metro area can support three NHL teams.
is it everyone’s cup of tea? Of course not neither is the Grand Canyon. Sure, it’s just a big hole. Nothing special. Hahaha.

Young, strong, wealthy, alpha types generally like to be in the middle of the action. Sure, there are outliers and homebodies and all sorts. But I think it’s safe to say that NY is one of the premier destinations in North America for pro athletes.

Who's a better prospect in terms of ceiling Berard or Cuyle?

Berard by some margin IMO, guys like him are just having so much success around the league. I like Cuyle a lot, but he has to do a tremendous job to become a 50-60 pts player. Look at someone like Bratt in NJ. Point per game player. Always liked him, but it’s not like he is doing violence on the law of physics — players in that mold, speed that kills, some skil and hustle/hard work get results on the ice.

Othmann will be around for the first 9 games next season. We just need to be prepared for it and it would not shock me if he is on the roster after those 9 games too. He looked good in preseason this year.

His ELC would be a big boost for the team the next 3 years. They'll need it.
