On top of everything else for BO, that kids muzzy is getting serious

Side note, but that Michigan roster is going to be so hilariously stacked next season. Let's hope we'll be keeping closer tabs on them because we've found a way to nab Rutger McGroarty (or by some miracle Frank Nazar)
Aren't they going to lose a lot of their top players though?

They’ll still realistically have Kent Johnsson and Luke Hughes while bringing in all of those other kids. Power is signing with Buffalo after the Frozen Four, and I could see Beniers going for one more championship if they don’t win this year.

Think I saw that KJ is expected to go pro.

Hughes should stay though.

if Michigan won it all would they have been considered the best college team ever?

Vince Mercogliano had Providence College head coach Nate Leaman as a guest on his podcast. Leaman thinks Brett Berard needs more time in college before he is ready. He made it sound like the player needs to play all 4 years of school which is fine. He has to get stronger and he needs more maturation in his game. Learning to play night to night. He gets frustrated at times. Be more consistent. Dominate in college hockey. He will be ready for pro hockey. Become a Hobby Baker finalist. Hagelin stayed in Michigan for 4 years. He didn't need much AHL team. Berard needs to work on his game. Leaman is trying to increase Berard's minutes. Berard is a more effective player playing less minutes. Leaman said Berard is getting better with the increased workload. Leaman is trying to play Berard more than 18 minutes per game. He said Berard is starting to get used to the increases workload. Berard will be a top 6 player for the 2022 WJC team in August. Leaman is coaching the team.

He compared Berard to Bobby Trivigno in style. High-energy pesky game. Leaman believes Berard will end up being a bigger player than Trivigno.

Hockey USA has already named a coach for the 2023 WJC team. Quinnipiac head coach Rand Peckhold.

Berard won't be an option for the Rangers until 24-25 which is fine.

Nope. Not on the ice.
They didn't even finish 1st in their league.
Maybe some pundit could use derived fuzzy models to say they had the best roster ever based on projections. But they haven't actually earned such acclaim.

The 1993 UMaine team is the greatest I've ever seen relative to the competition- granted I was a kid at the time.

The quality of NCAA hockey wasn't as good as it is now, but Kariya, the Ferraros and company just skated circles around everyone.
tough to compare across generations and michigan is a very young team compared to the competition right now, but there cant be many teams if any that compare to this michigan team in terms of talent and nhl projection. they got like 10 1st round picks including a #1 overall.

Yeah, when it comes to talent it's hard to find a better team in NCAA history, but in terms of success it's not that easy.

A team full of top picks isn't running away with the NCAA title. Boston University is a prime example of that.

I feel like the head coach of the team he plays for isn't exactly an unbiased opinion on whether Berard shouldn't continue playing for said coach.
