Not that I've seen. North America sucks in that respect. Nothing for the CHL, AHL, ECHL, USHL, NCAA, etc. Just NHL. I'm sure it all exists, but it's kept proprietary and not made public.
Yeah, that sucks. Would have been really interesting to see his usage

Where's the dude that kept yelling at everyone that we were missing the boat on Riley Hughes? After going scoreless two nights ago, his line is now 1-0-1, -6, 6 PIM in 20 games. 17 SOG. No points in his last 18 games. This is why we need to understand BCHL stats in context.

could be prudent to not draw strong conclusions yet,
aside from the truly exceptional guys, freshmen on D1 teams get incredibly inconsistent ice-time, often splitting it with the marginal upperclassmen.
I haven't seen any Northeastern games, so i cannot comment on how Hughes is actually being used,

although they seem to be a young team, only 1 Jr getting regular ice,
and it is true that 3 other Frosh F's have better points-stats

I mean, the kid was a marginal prospect coming into the season that had a thoroughly mediocre season playing with a top-talent in Newhook in the BCHL last year. I'm not arguing that he sucks, just pointing out the folly of looking at BCHL stats without understanding what they mean and then telling everyone repeatedly how good a guy is. He may well end up good but the chances of that happening are small, and certainly not worth restating every couple of weeks. I'll leave the specific poster out of it, because this wasn't meant as a "neener-neener" post, but a word of caution when it comes to anything going on in Junior A.

I'm not that guy, but I got roasted when I said that maybe Kjellberg is a better prospect than Hughes. The point being that we knew basically nothing about Hughes from his BCHL stats to say otherwise.

Clearly their first year NCAA stats with no context on usage have proven that I was correct :sarcasm:

Button released his top NHL affiliated prospect list again. Bad news is Kravtsov dropped from number 1 last year to 36. Good news is Igor is the new number 1! And Nils is 22. Denisenko kept his number 2 spot, probably because of WJC. He’s still only 19 .
1. Shesterkin
22. Lundkvist
36. Kravtsov
43. Miller

Kravtsov dropping 35 spots is just utter silliness
yeah tbh Buttons methods seem a little arbitrary. Him being ranked #1 last year was a bit odd as well. But whatever. Kravtsov deserves the drop with how this season has gone for him, and Shest was dominating the AHL from day 1 all the way until his callup.

i don't follow the OHL closely,
but i did notice at EliteProspects homepage, which features a daily transaction listing,
this move where London added a 'veteran' D, the Hunters are sending 3 decent selection picks to Guelph

so I am curious, if anyone has been watching, what's going on in London, and will this affect Skinner ...

maybe not, final URL below is London stats
top 4 D in GP (and pts...) are all RHD - Skinner, Merkley, Regula (DRW 3rd) and Keane's brother

Philips is a lefty, he's already 20, been playing pro,
LAK assigned him back to the O on 1/1

KNIGHTS ACQUIRE MARKUS PHILLIPS FROM THE GUELPH STORM – London Knights
"The London Knights would like to announce that they have acquired defenceman Markus Phillips from the Guelph Storm in exchange for Hamilton’s 2nd Round Selection in 2023, Barrie’s 3rd Round Selection in 2021, and a 4th Round Selection 2021"

Button's approach has always been on more of the "reactionary" side of the equation. Guys tend to rise and fall more dramatically, depending on whether they are grabbing attention.

Personally, I've always been a bit more methodical in how I view things --- which is due in part from befriending and sitting under the knowledge tree of those whose career is based around watching and evaluating prospects. For example, I think it's way too easy to drop kids who turn pro and need to adjust, while over-inflating kids who are dominating their younger peers in the junior leagues and tournaments. We especially see this about six months after most drafts where the D+1/D+2 prospects are the shiny new toys, and D+3 kids are learning how to play NHL-style hockey.

Nothing for Pajuniemi today. Three straight games without a point now, after recording 10 points in the previous five games.

Aaltonen did nothing. 2 points in 28 games.

Sjalin was -2. Not doing much in Allsvenskan, either.

Lindbum stopped 27/31 for the win.

Henriksson didn't play for Sodataljee.

All this talk of Riley Hughes, put some respect on my guy Eric Ciccolini. Techincally “fell” to the 7th, and has 7 points as a freshman on a fairly low scoring team. Talented kid.

'all this talk' has riley hughes been mentioned in the last 6 months outside of the prospect polls?

Södertälje. My bro was GM there for a while. Coach too. Picked up guys like Kopitar, Pastrnak, Hagelin...

I know. :naughty:

There are certain Swedish teams whose names I can't pronounce. Sodertalje and Tingsryds are the ones that always throw me. I sometimes can't tell the difference between Karlskoga and Karlskrona, or Vasteras and Vasterviks.

Lindbom has been solid when he’s played. The problem is him being able to play.

Regardless of whether it is prudent to take a goalie in the second like that, a healthy Lindbom really isn’t a bad prospect. Just an unhealthy and unpopular one.

That is perfectly understandable. I mix up the bolded too, especially since one of them used to be named Bofors after the cannon company (which I think was Karlskrona, but I can't shake that uncertainty...).

I constantly mix up Torpedo Yarsolov and Lokomotiv Yaroslav... Why does a team change name from Torpedo to Lokomotiv?

Other than international tournaments a couple years back, Lindbom has never really stood out. When he's healthy, he's been...fine? I don't think he's a bad prospect, but I don't think he's a particularly good prospect, either. And honestly, the injuries are becoming a trend. Which is a problem.

The other frustrating part is that Annunen was taken shortly after him, and he looks like a stud. Prosvetov and Hofer are looking really good as well. Of course I would have picked Skarek, who is struggling a bit in his NA debut, so who knows (I wouldn't have picked a goalie until much later, however).

Anyway, hopefully Lindbom puts it together. Goalies can take a while and we're in no hurry. Though, honestly, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if we never signed Lindbom.
