We are back!! After a long break due to COVID. We are going with the same rules as we always did under what qualifies as a prospect:

NHL Prospect Criteria - Hockey's Future

So yes, that means Lafreniere and Miller ARE still considered prospects, and Kakko, Fox, Shestyorkin and Lindgren are not.

Don't forget to reply who you want to be added!

Look at the initial post

@cwede You sure you don't want to change your vote?

Nah. I dont consider Laf or KAM prospects.
Loved what Krav showed us, and have confidence in what the new staff will get from him.
And IMHO, I don't respect this format, can't believe we still do it this way.
Maybe not at 1st spot, but quickly, it leads to vote splitting and inaccurate representation

To the best of my knowledge, this is who we have left: kids that are eligible but not on the poll yet. This is also using HF's criteria so if anyone has an issue with it, contact HF--which is no longer a functional entity beyond these boards. Seriously, though, if you think anyone here does not qualify based of HF's criteria, please speak up so we can take a closer look.

Maybe not at 1st spot, but quickly, it leads to vote splitting and inaccurate representation

To flesh out w example -
let's say top 5 are
Laf, KAM, Nils, Krav, Schneider.
Now we're voting for 6th.
5 guys vote Robertson, 5 go Barron, 5 go Jones, 6 vote Othmann, 4 vote Garand, 3 vote Tarmo
I dont feel that it is accurate or honest to indicate that Othmann is our group's choice as 6th prospect

We can't very well do "weighted choice," so in the realm of "close enough for punk," simple majority works.

If you think our group's choice as 6th prospect is stupid, then it would be an accurate representation that you think our group is stupid. =P

You can basically use the percentages to hash out the tiers, though.

If Lafreniere is the #1 with 95% of the vote, he's in a tier by himself. If Othmann is the #6 with 30% of the vote, he's in a tier with a bunch of people and you don't need to get that hung up on who's 6, who's 7 etc

Tough call for me between Nils and Laf, but I went with Laf based on draft pedigree an the fact he's already in the NHL.

Add Barron....also considered Paju, Gauthier, and Robertson.
