watching him play is beautiful.

Listening to Vally explain the push off and how the pads are different was pretty cool.

He is making these lateral cross crease saves look a lot easier than they are. He is so calm, collected and compact.

I marvel at his composure and focus in the net, he doesn’t get rattled no matter what’s going on around him and he anticipates everything so smoothly, conserving energy.

It almost looks slow and methodical, but in actuality it’s lightning quick. Awesome to watch

He is playing at a Vezina level right now and I have no qualms in saying that.

Zibanejad looks like he's ready to score 50-60 goals this season.
Thank you GG for continuing to let Igor play while he's hot. If this is Quinn last year we may be 1-2-2.
Not worried about Panarin but he needs to go back with Strome. Too many bad passes between him and Zib.
Love having another Lefty on the PP but they still use a Righty on the wall once they get set up.
I like Laf-Chytil-Blais because Laf and Chytil aren't sitting back defaulting to Zib or Panarin.
Like the beginning of last season, Fox's passes for one timers on the PP are a little off.
It seems like every shift Reaves forces a turnover or sends the puck back into the zone on a rush.
I think Hunt has had a solid scoring chance every game. Right on the doorstep with the puck. Have to start converting though.
Fox looks like he has a nasty look this year (in a good way) and his defense looks even better and more physical. Maybe turning into the alpha personality we need.

We are winning tough, tight, physical games we haven't really won since the Torts era. Cannot wait until the offense explodes. We are younger and don't have the playoff experience but on paper we have a better goaltender, deeper scoring and D than Colorado.

I love how positive Gallant is. He always seems to have faith in the players and they seem to be responding. Haven't heard him say much negative. I wasn't on the fire Quinn bandwagon but I think Gallant is the right guy for the job.
Kreider looks like a new player and KAM looks like he found the confidence he had early last year.
My only gripe from last night was there was a ton of cheap shots by Nashville and Reeves was invisible in that department.

I don't know what to make of this team. Objectively, we're getting outplayed, but we keep getting points. The PP is a f***ing disaster and the second PP unit is a joke.

But 3-1-1 to start the season. Not too shabby.
I caught some of the pregame on the radio and GS, PK, PP, FO and another metric we were all ranked liked 27th and below.

I said it in the GDT but he sees/processes the game at a Fox level... aka about as good as you can get

I really like how this team is starting the season, even though Zib and Panarin aren't consistently on the stat sheets yet. The lines for last night I think worked well, it'll be a good problem to have when Strome gets back into the lineup. The PP is my main concren. Ooouufff

Gallant is a good coach. Team played more physical and won the games. Much credit goes to Gallant so far.

"Totally agree."

Trouba saved a goal again last night, he's playing physical and not getting beat wide, earning most of his dough. Miller has looked stable and solid, things he was not at all the second half of last year. Good stuff!

Maybe both of them were really taking it easy in the preseason, because it's been pretty much a night-and-day difference since the season began. Not sure why Miller saw very little ice until the third last night, by my eye test.

Panarin needs to get off that right side on the powerplay. You have Fox starting on the left and then they eventually switch for the hell of it with Panarin way too high up to do anything. Pick the player you want taking the one-timer from the left side and stop rotating because they look lost.

I think there are two setups, one for Panarin and one for Mika. When Mika has the left circle spot, Panarin essentially works the right point with Fox on the left.

Not for nothing mikas got 5 pts in 5 games. If that’s him not getting on the stat sheet I think we’ll be ok when he starts finishing. He’s all over the net and looks much more physical than all of last year. He’s hit at least 3 or 4 posts minimum

I really want to see him play with kakko. I think that’s the combo that in small spurts I’ve always liked. Just give Panarin akd strome their F3 in Goodrow make them happy

Goodrow and Hunt challenged Benning. The team is sticking together and not backing down. We don't need Reaves going rogue and taking unnecessary penalties. We need the entire team to stick up for each other(and they are). The team looks a whole lot tougher to play against. Reaves and the 4th line have been playing well. I'm sure we'll see Reaves drop them at some point. Not a lot of guys want to/are able to fight him.

I think we need to contend with the possibility that Strome makes Panarin better, not just the other way around.

(Ducks for cover)

Panarin will be fine. He was setting up players that couldn't finish. I really just want him to be more aggressive and attack the middle of the ice. He has so much talent and he spends way too much time on the perimeter
