This season is all about not working hard enough, not picking up people in your own end, not standing up for your teammates and not giving yourself a chance to win every night.

The exact opposite of '11-'12, which was a lot less talented and a lot harder to play against.

I can't wait to watch Hank with a competent team in front of him in the Olympics. I feel for the guy.

Want to thank Zucc, Kreider, and McD for their efforts tonight.

I think the Olympics will be very telling to what type of player Hank is right now. If he is anything short of great than 3 things may be going on.

1. He doesn't care as much about winning becuase he is being paid

2. He is showing his age

3. He is just having a bad year.

Sadly, for us we won't know the answer to these questions for a while.

Another lifeless game where they can't defend or push back and struggle to score goals. Welcome to Rangerstown.

Every time I hear that term......I just LOL at the massive marketing fail with that new slogan. Its soooooooooo incredibly stupid, I just don't understand how it was even considered, let alone chosen to be used. We tried to take a bite from "hockeytown"......and this is what the marketing dept for the new York rangers came up with LOL :handclap:

Its just as bad as Dolan's dumb ass coming out two years ago and saying we were gonna win the cup when we were competing for the presidents trophy.......

Massive fail on both accounts.

Did anyone notice how hard Crosby works?

There could possibly be a relationship between hard work and good results, eh?

What kind of game might it have been Nash a healthy scratch instead of Miller. Let’s see. Nash commits another lazy first period hook that not only leads to a goal, but Dorsett ends up getting hurt. Against the Caps, he did the same thing. Same result, a goal against. Then he decides it’s too much work to cover an open man in front of the net. We’re down 2 zip. You know, his first interview in the shortened season last year set an alarm. He said you have to know when to ease up with so many games being played close together. When is he not easing up. He owes Dorsett an apology. He owes the fans and the team an apology.

Oy, Woi Barrah strikes again.

The Rangers are a small, weak team. Other teams have no fear when they play down low.

Staal and Girardi are brutal and have been all season. They do nothing productive defensively. Stralman is showing who he is -- a guy who is being asked to do too much and he's just not good enough to handle it.

This is fundamental hockey. No "system" is the reason why Dan Girardi gets burned to the outside every play, and Staal continues to play the puck and not the man.

Coverage in front of the net has nothing to do with a system when it comes to defensemen. That's their job. A "system" can hurt a defenseman if he;s constantly asked to rush the puck, take chances and play down low in the offensive zone.

Blowing coverage in the slot, as in not clearing the crease is a violation of D-Man 101. The goal that ended the Rangers bid for a SC was scored because of poor crease play.

Has nothing to do with the system. Concussions and wimp-assery are the main reasons why the defense outside of McDonagh are getting roasted.

Good Grief...the Islanders have even managed to win 3 in a row, to crawl out of the Metro cellar. (Specially since Nabokov is back) I wish the Rangers would stop hovering around .500, this is torture. It's been like this for years--they sit within striking distance of the playoffs, only to get eliminated on the last day of the season. My only wish for the team this year is to not put fans through the same thing again. If your gonna blow it, don't waste our time, blow it now.

Watching Nash is completely sad...last year was an adjustment and lock-out shortened season excuse. This is just the sad fact that he another NHLer that has been diminished by concussions and other injuries. Now we have 2 players like this--him and Staal. It is very sad. I think if the concussions didn't happen he wouldn't be so lethargic out there. With the concussion issues, he's getting dogged as the whole reason the Rangers aren't scoring. This is just sad.

Exactly!

He is tougher than this whole roster combined! What players stood up for themselves like that this year. Do you recall any? Crosby has balls to do that, something you can't say for most (any) on this team.

Crosby can take liberties like no other player (Refs definitely bat a blind eye to his ********) , has a flock ready to step in for him (Recall McDonagh in a headlock earlier when McD wanted to rid him from the crease?).

He has balls because he's got great insurance to do it.

Great game all-around. Our guys showed a lot of heart out there but just came up short.

Can't wait for tomorrow night's game!

Our GDT's blow. I suggest you visit a Hawks GDT or something. Ours are:

1. Hank contract sucksss!!
2. Small padzzzz!!!
3. and that's it

Actually, there are some other aspects to the GDTs.
Why in the world would tonight's GDT be positive about the Rangers? they absolutely stunk.

And it is not at all true that all the complaints are about Henrik, or about his pads. Many posts were about how poor the T-E-A-M plays.

Fleury made close to 40 saves. Some are great saves, deflections, etc. if he let some of those in, it would not be his fault either. We need Hank to make some of those "night his fault" saved. We are not the Pens. We need the old hank to win. Otherwise, we need to swap some assets to get the pieces to win with an average goalie. Hank is average right now. You can't deny that.

This is 100% true. No one will deny Crosby has the talent, but everytime he is taking a shift he has a 3rd guy on his line in the ref who watches his ass. There is NO denying that.

Unless any team that plays the Pens get's out to a quick sizable lead early in the game the Refs will always try to keep Crosby & the Penquins in it.

What shocks me is that we had that many shots on goal.

This team's coverage below the face-off dots is the worst that I've ever seen. That entire area needs to be tightened up or we're not making the playoffs and I don't care if the ghost of Patrick Roy is in net.

What did Crosby do that everyone is getting all hype about? Fight McDonouagh? (Spelling)

I think refs give the "better player" the benefit of the doubt in some judgment calls, but I also think that assuming there's some kind of conspiracy in a sleepy midseason Metropolitan division matchup is off-base.
