For all the talk of firing Torts I've yet to hear one idea for a replacement outside of Ruff, who, from everything I've seen, is only a name that people are pointing to because he's a recently unemployed coach in the media. Who do people actually want that is going to coach the team they way that they want?

If half of every thread is going to be people screaming for Torts head, I'd like to see at least some useful talk beyond that.

Ottawa played without Anderson, Spezza, Karlson, and had 5 rookies yet they beat us.

Our depth sucks! Our young kids are skating around slapping at pucks offering nothing. Other than Nash, Hagelin, and Gaborik no one can score. They all "grind".

Our centerman suck. Flat out suck.

To be brutally honest, our kids in Ottawa are still running on adrenaline at the moment. We are fortunate to have a very good coach who can give the kids confidence, but it's really only a matter of time before reality sinks in.

All you really have to do is get your coaches to allow your guys to open up some more. You've got the horses, gotta let them run.

I said it the other night Torts should be fired,

Torts is toast and he knows it.. they should be 8-8 he got lucky the other night in Sens..

Plus he is rotting kreider and making the kids head spin

My opinion is that if Sather is going to continue with Torts, the Rangers should trade Gabs and bring in some decent players to play in the system.

Or

Fire Torts, and bring in a coach who can create a more explosive offensive system

One or the other imo.

Well I really dont want anymore high blood pressure so id prefer getting rid of Torts and his system.

Im a more offense oriented guy hockeywise anyway.

We havent been able to score for years now. Its exhausting to watch.

You brought up the guys the Rangers are playing without and the Sens have as many injuries and don't look as bad as this Ranger team...injuries are not an excuse.

He was boarded,he left, no update so we won't know until he plays again.

I didn't expect this win this game.... but would it such a bad thing for a ranger to start laying some heavy hits or for someone to try and scrap to get some energy in this team.

Its the way this team has been all season so far. Yes, there has been injuries and yes there has been a lot of turnover in the team but its not an excuse as to why they look so lifeless out there.

The whole team has just looked like a lost cause all night..... Can't wait for the postgame when Richards/Callahan talk about "showing more effort and consistency" I've been hearing it for a few weeks, but I'm waiting to see it...
