GDT: Rangers @ Kings Pt. II |Game 1| 6/4/14

Quick is an ******* in real life also. He had an event at a hockey shop in Connecticut that I frequent visit for goalie day just to meet some kid goalies and sign some autographs and stuff. Valiquette also happened to be in town as the KHL season had just ended (this was like 3 years ago) so they invited him also since it was goalie day. Quick was offended they invited someone else and cancelled.

Valiquette was awesome and really nice though :laugh:
 
We are playing a VERY good road game (from what I've seen lol) so I'm not worried.
 
Kings looks very beatable, let's steal this one and get home ice. Even if we don't win Game 1, these Kings don't really seem invincible like some people claim. Make adjustments and we can win this in 6.
 
Remember guys this is a road game. This team makes stupid mistakes on the road. Thats just what happens recently. Nonetheless we've played well and gave ourselves a chance to nip it in the third period or overtime. Its going to be as nerve-wracking as possible though...

1st one was not bad defense. it was a bad give away. Staal had his man boxed out. Lundqvist had good position and 9/10 he should be making that save. That shot was just perfectly placed like MSL's OT winner. very difficult to make that save.
 
That second period was pretty bad. The Rangers had a number of chances to score goals, and gave up a pretty bad one. Hank should of had Doughty's shot. It went right through him.

I have a bad feeling that the Kings is going to win this game. The Rangers have had many chances to put the game out of reach, but have let LA stay in the game.

Clement? Play by Play?

Clement was/is a color commentator.

And while he is better than the current clowns on NBC, he used to get on his knees in front of the Colorado Avs. The way he even said it was annoying.
 
Random thoughts:



I'm hoping that the Kings will fatigue a bit in the 3rd coming off a tough Chicago series which ended Sunday?

Rangers speed seems to be controlling the game at times.

My fear... that the score is 2-2 with the Rangers missing many more opportunities. However, The kings often seem to hang around long enough and pull these close games out.

Hopefully the Rangers play a bit more of a shut down game in the third as they did while closing out a couple of series.
