Look at Nolan's stick.

Disgrace. The NHL is a joke.

The Rangers will win games 3 and 4. They will game 5 in LA in OT. Its never easy with this team. LA is due for a 3 game losing streak. Every bounce has gone their way.

Like your optimism.

For those still arguing, look at the pictures above and then read NHL's Rulebook.

69.3 Contact Inside the Goal Crease – If an attacking player initiates contact with a goalkeeper, incidental or otherwise, while the goalkeeper is in his goal crease, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.
If a goalkeeper, in the act of establishing his position within his goal crease, initiates contact with an attacking player who is in the goal crease, and this results in an impairment of the goalkeeper’s ability to defend his goal, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.

Not nolan but ****

I'm still ****ing pissed about the third goal.

Yeah yeah they had chances in OT, it shouldn't have ****ing gone to OT.

Do people forget that momentum swings are huge in sports? That goal doesn't happen and I bet my life savings the Rangers win in regulation.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Rags and other derogatory team names aren't permitted on the main boards? I think we should just start referring to the Kings as the Queens then if it's allowed.

Bad calls shouldn't be a big factor in modern day sports. With the technology we have now the game should be called fairly and missed calls should be reviewable.

The league doesn't want a fair game between two teams.

I'm sure McDonagh was pushing the guy into Hank. It was his brilliant strategy. Basically King or whoever it was was going through the Crease McDonagh was trying to move him he wasn't moving and didn't allow Hank to make a save what a joke this league is.

Looking at those pictures and reading the exact wording of the rule just makes it even worse. Wow. I can't believe they blew that obvious of a call.

I don't think they do:

One NHL source told ESPN The Magazine there was momentum at the last general managers meeting to expand replay, including a suggestion to put a monitor in the penalty box to help with goalie-interference calls, but the GMs received pushback from the league on the issue. There's a real fear of unintended consequences if replay is expanded in a sport that makes it much more complicated than in other sports.

Asked at his annual state-of-the-game news conference before Game 1 about expanded replay, commissioner Gary Bettman said the league plans to continue moving with caution when it comes to replay.

"If we're going to take the next step and it's something we're discussing internally, it's going to have to be a series of discreet things we're comfortable we can get right," Bettman said. "Yes, you have an occasional call that is wrong, inopportune, glaring in its consequence, but when you devise a system to deal with those handful of instances, are you going to make it worse by the unintended consequences that follow? That's why we move slowly."

Translation:

We, as a league, need more ability to control outcomes of games.

I do not like the amount of replay, especially in football, mainly because the NFL and college refs now are too afraid to make definitive calls on the field on even obvious plays because they'll go to the replay. It's become a crutch in football.

That said, if the technology exists, something should be in place to ensure the calls are correct. And with almost every game being broadcast somewhere in HD, viewers see the play better than the game officials.

That was a tough third goal guys. As a wings fan, if that had happened to my team last night I would still be livid. When they were showing the replays on TV I thought it was obvious interference, but that's just my opinion.

They really do need to do something about the refereeing. If the game is 'too fast', then slow it down and let coaches challenge something like that. I'd rather the league get it right than have something like this happen.

You want to really see the best team win without BS like this...but I guess it's part of the game, so they say anyway.

With that being said, the rangers have had a 2-goal lead, what, 4 times in this series in 2 games? And lost both. That's the bigger picture. Gotta clamp down harder. Maybe LA is just too good this year.

LA is frankly, amazing. You have to respect that team, coming back down 3 games to 0 against SJ, then beating ANA, then beating the stanley cup champs. Seriously. Amazing. They don't quit. I swear they could be down 6-0 in a game and find a way to win it. They have the be the most resilient team I can remember seeing, and I've been a hockey fan for 25 years.

I'm sure that's more than enough LA talk you want to hear lol.

Good luck the rest of the series. They won both home games, you guys have a chance to win both home games now and maintain the series...good luck tomorrow!

A few years ago against during one of the playoff series against the Caps it was mentioned and I remember people were told not to use it. Seems like the mods don't enforce it too much though.

I hate it, and when I see it in a post I usually just skip over the post because the person likely won't have anything worth reading anyway, oh and I have been avoiding the main boards as well. just unbearable.

The Kings have pretty much gotten every single major bounce and call in this series. It's so ****ing frustrating and I was extremely confident they would walk away with a win last night. Such a heartbreaking loss, I still can't believe it happened.

Apparently it's only not allowed here because people elsewhere are too uneducated to realize that it's a derogatory term. In essence, Rangers bashing is cool everywhere else but here.

The only thing you can do now is play angry and try to win some games. Nothing to really lose now after these frustrating loses

They lost two tough games on the road to a very good team, and could easily have won both games. They now have to win their home games and hold serve. I think it is complete folly to give up on them before they get to play even one home game, These Kings are lime zombies, they just don't die.

the only other thing I have to say about this game.... If we threw Kreider, Richards and Pouliot on a line together, would they have literally 0% possession metrics? how many turnovers would those three worthless ****s throw up?

Richards is a travesty.

I've been watching the LA games since the 2nd round and I have to say, most nights it really has seemed that way. They do get a lot of breaks. Might just be destiny this year, like 2 years ago. They were like a freight train 2 years ago. This year they seem to lack a bit of killer instinct but at the same time, they never quit and are the most resilient team I can ever remember seeing, and that includes my stanley cup winning wings teams in the past couple decades.
