I'll believe it when I see it based on everything I've ever known about this team

Past Ranger tams have zero to do with this one, but you've put yourself in good position with this narrative. If they lose, you can say you were right all along. But if they win, you can enjoy it and say its unsustainable. Win-win

I cannot remember wanting a player off this team more than Georgiev. Christ, that'll be up there on the list of the best moments as a Rangers fan for me.

Goodrow is a big part of the reason we lost. If he had more skill, he would have scored 4. Panarin and Fox gave him gimmies and he didn't bury the puck. Still love him but he's not a star of this game.

Goodrow has been in the league for years, we know that he doesn't have more skill. He did the things you want him to be doing and was very noticeable. Play this game 10 times and in 3-4 of them he's got 2+ goals. If he was a better player that becomes 6-7 times, but he's not that so why expect any different?

Every team plays a stinker now and then. Hopefully this is the last time for a while.
Still played a good third period.
Have to agree about Georgiev??? needs to sit or be traded. Not a good vibe when he plays
Shake this off and get on a new roll

Honestly, I'll be unusually positive today. This is really the first loss in regulation that the Rangers have had to a bad team. It came against a team that got historically embarrassed last night and we had our awful backup in net, they had their awful backup who played out of his mind and got 4 posts in his favor. Not happy but I think I'll survive.

Unacceptable. They should've stomped this team. Went up 2-0 and engaged the autopilot, thinking it was in the bag. Most dangerous lead in hockey, and they proved it. No excuses. :sarcasm:

He hit 2 posts? Scored as well. Reason why we won last game.
Guy is gonna score more points this year than Laf and Kakko combined.

I don't expect different. But he was setup and didn't score so he wasn't a star of the game.

Unless he actually believes the narrative. You are implying, and assuming, that he is acting in bad faith with the argument.

This was always going to be a trap game. If you told me the Rangers first regulation loss to a sub-.500 team would be on Jan. 27, i take that all day.

This team has been outshot in every game but two since December 1st. Let's see it more regularly and I'll be happy to see it.

There's always this narrative that I enjoy being negative but the only thing I enjoy is having the puck more than the other team and carry play. If you read every post I've made the last like, seven years I'm remarkably consistent with that. And so are the Rangers, which explains a lot.

So what, not a star of this game. The first post he hit is a goal for most bantam players if we're being honest. That was a big miss.

1. With Shesterkin in we win this game or at the very least get a point
2. Morgan Barron f***ing sucks. I don't understand the man crushes on this board with literally every 3rd/4th line tweener we bring up from Hartford that does nothing but dump the puck, chase it and lose every board battle. He's Dryden Hunt 2.0 and Hunt himself is a waste of a roster spot
3. Goodrow hitting the post on that wide open net absolutely murdered us. We win this game if he hits that 4x6, book it
4. Gauthier and Lafreniere were both very good tonight. Feel bad for Gaut not being able to bury that feed late in the third but he got robbed, it happens

Because we lost, as opposed to the tons of times this season we've won. It's basically textbook situational irony.
When you put it that way, it is kind of funny.

This team is the car that starts working when you pull into the garage.

This is why is doesn't matter if you win the advanced stats game. It only matters if you win the real game and get the 2 points. Goaltending matters and we have one of the best. Not going to apologize for that.
The "real game" is based mostly on luck over a one-game sample.

I know you're joking but "most dangerous lead in hockey is a 2 goal lead" is such a stupid cliche. It's a 1 goal lead, it's much easier to come back from a 1 goal lead than a 2 goal lead.

Panarin, Goodrow, Schneider, Lafreniere, Rooney all had noticeably good games. The rest was very meh. Didnt love the effort level until late but its hard to complain about 39 shots on goal in addition to the 3 posts they hit. Tip the cap to Korpisalo.

Say what you want about the turnovers by the D in this game (there were many), but 4 goals on 18 shots against is on Georgiev. He's turned back into a pumpkin.

I don't like perimeter Panarin, sorry. Engaged Panarin is fantastic, more of that please.
