Who's HF?

Hammer played solid for what was asked.

As Dugay stated, his foot speed was a bit lacking, but not playing for over a month can do that.

I had no issues with his game tonight.

no just saying he got bashed quite a bit in the gdt. i thought he played very well for a guy who has been scratched by an awful team for practically the whole season

Man some Isles fans are *****ing a lot about no power plays. To be honest, it's surprising to look and see that they didn't get a PP. However, you don't get power plays just because the other team as gotten some. That's not how it works.

The refs were letting A LOT of stuff go, like a playoff game. The only things that got called were a blatant hook on Halpern, a blatant trip on Halpern and a very blatant hook on Del Zotto. The Rangers didn't make any blatant plays for there to be power plays going the other way.

Tavares in the postgame "tough calls, tough non-calls." I'm sorry, I'm not buying it. There was a lot of **** going on in this game against both teams that the officials let go.

Some points:
- Boyle needs to see the press-box. The guy adds nothing right now. - Bickel needs to be in the AHL. He is not an NHL caliber player.
- Gaborik was awful until the very end of regulation/OT. He was barely moving his feet all game.
- Hamrlik was exactly what I expected. Put up some solid minutes.
- I thought Stralman skated well. Can't wait for Staal to be back to really shore up the D.
- Nash is a beast. Stepan is feeding off of him. Hagelin rounds out that line perfectly with his tireless work ethic.

The last 14 games with Rick Nash in the lineup, the Rangers are 11-2-1.

Torts: "He's still a dummy sometimes"

On Miller. Haha. He praised him after that, though.

I think it was in the second period and I forget exactly what happened but Miller had the puck and should have gotten it out of the zone but he made a terrible decision and turned it over with the Tavares line on the ice. They kept us in the zone for a good minute and had some decent chances but eventually we cleared it and changed. All I was thinking is that the Isles were going to score and Miller was done for the rest of the game.

They have a point. A lot of stickwork that was uncalled on Tavares tonight

BUT

The refs were letting that go both ways all night. Every time Nash had the puck he was being hooked and held and never drew a call either. You're spot on when you say they were only calling the blatant tonight. Very refreshing game.

Did I watch a completely different game than Islanders fans? All I hear after the game is how the refs screwed them.

Not sure if mentioned, but Stralman played a hell of a game.

Saw some very heady play out of him and skated very well with the puck.

Smart game by Stralsy

As sad as I am that Sauer's still out, Stralman has made his absence much easier to handle these past two seasons. He's stepped up his game, playing extremely well.

We are just simply a better team with him. Everyone seems more confident in themselves when Nash is on the ice. We looked like players with deer in the headlights looks on their faces when he was out.
